Hi, I'm new in the forum. I'm 18 yo and I'm here because I suspect to have Peyronie's. You know, even possibly knowing to have this disease at my age is simply mentally and phisically devastating. What happened? So I did a rough masturbation 5 months ago, I continued to masturbate even when I felt some pain. After that, half of my penis got swollen. The penis went back to normal the next day, but after that I have never felt the same. The first days I had some mild pain, nothing too severe, only when I was flaccid. Now the pain is almost completely gone, but I still have some things that give me a lot of stress. First, I have this swollen cords in the shaft. They seem to be under the superficial skin and they are similar to veins. In fact, I think they are veins, because if I flashlight them with my phone they have a sort of a slight blue/green colour. But I never had them before and they appeared after that rough masturbation. I have three of them in the right part, two on left and one in the middle that goes almost all the lenght, from the bottom to the coronal sulcus. This cordlike things seem to be always swollen and they are more prominent and visible during erection. They sometimes give me some discomfort, whether I press them or not. There is also another one of them, a string just under the glans. This one is also more visible during erection, even tough I can also feel it when I'm flaccid. But this one is hard. I can feel like an elastic string under the skin, it is hard but not as calcified, I can move it a bit when it's more prominent. I also feel there is another thin hard/fibrous string right in the skin on the glans. It's not on the glans, but it's on the skin. Same thing for this hard cord under the glans. I can feel it on the skin, but if I open the prepuce and show the glans, I can't feel any hard string under it. It seems to be related to the skin, I don't know. I thought this could be lymphangiosclerosis or mondor disease, but after 6 months could I still have them? This also seems to be the zone when most of the swollen was after I exceeded with masturbation. Under this string, only when I'm flaccid, I noticed a little hourglass deformity (it's not proper hourglass, it seems to be less "full" in the dorsal part, like a little hole under the glans, at the sides it is pretty normal) , but when I open the prepuce, I also noticed a thicker band of skin under the glans, similiar to phimosis or a phimotic ring. Is it possible that masturbation caused me phimosis? And that this is also why I have a slight hourglass deformity under the glans when I'm flaccid? Because of the tight skin? I have photos if needed. During erections the penis looks completely normal. And talking about erections, my other symptom is that I think I've developed a slight Erectile Dysfunction. Practically, it's almost impossible for me now to achieve or gain "natural" erection, which means I cannot get hard by visual or mental arousal. I MUST stimulate myself to get hard. So morning woods have decreased a lot, I don't have them for weeks sometimes. You would say that I have my own sexuality and that could be normal, but this is not my average sexuality. Before this was not even a problem, I could have gained an erection only just by thinking about a chick. Now I can't. I feel the desire, I also feel the blood pulsing in the penis, but it won't get hard. Maximum semi-erect. And even if I get hard, it's like is not as hard as before. I'm not quite sure about this tho, I'm not sure if this can be relatable to Peyronie's, if it's a physical problem or a mentally problem due to stress and anxiety. I probably developed a slight Erectile Dysfunction because when I did that rough masturbation, I masturbated and ejaculated with semi-erect penis one time. It often happens now that I ejaculate before I completely get erect or I just feel the desire when I'm not fully hard. Maybe it's a thing I induced to myself, a sort of hard flaccid disease. I just simply don't know, I have all of these mixed symptoms. It's like only because I overdone one time with masturbation, now I destroyed my penis forever. It seems just unfair to me and I'm feeling very bad about this. Imagine having erectile issues or something strange about your penis a 18, it's so frustrating. And it's even more frustrating because I know before I felt so much better, I didn't have all this problems. I have these symptoms for 6 months now and it hasn't changed anything since that day. I went to 2 urologists, I did an ultrasound Doppler while flaccid and the response was negative. I am healthy and I don't have Peyronie's, they said. But I'm not feeling as before for sure. I just feel something is not ok. It's Peyronie? I don't know and I don't think I will, but I would like to have an help from you. Will this cordlike formations (probably veins or lymph vessels) go away, as for this slight hourglass deformity? Will I regain my old erections?

Yes, this all is probably related to the incident. The ED is possibly due to all the worrying too.(relax..)
As long as you have no calcified plaque that is bending or severely hourglassing you probably don't have Peyronies Disease. But it's still in the timeframe where something could calcify.
First, imo, you have to stop all aggravation of the issues you have, which possibly means stop masturbating at all, or forcing erections, for now, don't move the strings around etc. The most I would do in that situation is applying warm oils like olive oil, castor oil or similar gently.
Eat healthy and clean and think about applying an anti inflammatory cream/topical to the veins, daily 2-6 times, if they're close to the skin. (topical iodine might help too).
You might think about seeing a 3rd doc regarding the veins to get a prescripton for pentox or something else(that might help).
lastly.. learn about paragraphs :P

Can anybody elaborate on what those veins like chords could be? Are they actually veins? Why are they more prominent during erection?

I have similar experience as the OP with these new vein like things popping up. They were not present before.

Is this related to Peyronie?

Yes thanks, I already read the survival guide. This hard string is in fact on the area when most of the swelling was located, so it may be a normal healing process. The thing that leaves me confused are this bulging veins on the shaft, that weren't present before. And this slight ED I have, which may be only a psychological factor, but I think it's also physical related.

Roxas

Hey man, thx for sharing your experience. I'm learning how devastating this disease can be. I also have 18 and worried to have it. What were your symptoms back in the days? What was wrong with your penis? Did you have hard lumps or similar? A bending? Did you experience this bulging veins like mine?

The worst thing about this is that general urologists just tell you that you're healthy and that this disease only happen at 60 yo, when clearly a lot of teenagers (possibly including me) had the misfortune to experience this crap.

It's hilarious how men that get this sh*t when they are 60+ say they're "devastated"...
You have lived 3/5 of your life why are you complaining??? I know this hits every man who gets it, but there's nothing worse in the world than a youngster like myself who gets his dick crippled because unknown circumstances and all these so called urologists just send me out their fkn office when I need help, they say "I'm too young". Don't you think I know that? But yet my dick is crippling everyday and I'm losing my mind.
But the funny thing is that very often there is no help from doctors fellas, you're on your own. But this disease only gets you down if you let it. Even if my dick was pointing inside my body I would still make all the money in this joke of a world and make all these gold-digger girls suck my dick
There are solutions, but it takes time, effort and a sick load of patience. What I've learned is that, the majority of Peyronie's sufferers only use what they're described off some half brain dead urologist, and this leaves them at a stop sign. They give up, they believe that just because their dick is looking like a used chewing toy for a dog - they can't reach their dreams lol
I'd rather have cancer in my ass, because cancer is curable and there's always a chance you get rid of it forever if you catch it early. But no, I get some sort of constant inflammation in the only body part I give two f*cks about... but eh that's life huh
lol i'm just venting guys
God bless you all

I know man, having this as a teenager is hilarious and cruel, I think one of the worst thing that can happen to a man. I wouldn't personally mind to have this at 50-60 yo, I mean I lived all my life with an healthy penis. But when you get this at 18, oh man... It's just wrong. And the worst part about this is that I don't even know if I have this holy disease. And doctors don't help, because they just keep telling that you're healthy. Some of them don't even trust or hear what you say. I'm not healthy because I think I know my body better than anyone, I don't feel as before. Is it Peyronie's? I don't know, nodoby still hasn't given me a response, neither doctors or people. I just had these symptoms for months now and it seems they don't go away.

You need to see an andrologist, not a urologist.

I'll try to see an andrologist who's specialized in this disease. Btw I often feel my penis like to be sore, especially near this veins/lymph vessels. I feel like a tingling sensation and sometimes sting ache. It often happens too after masturbation. I know this sound similar to phlebitis/lymphangitis or just an inflammatory process, but I mean I have this for 6 months, how's possible that it has lasted so much? I thought it could be Peyronie's also for the lenght of the time I had this and because one this cordlike formations is a little bit hard, but not calcified, it seems to be a flexible string.

Don't think there are a lot of andrologists who are not urologists.

Can anyone tell me what happens when plaque shrinks or "disappear"? Is the plaque "transformed" into healthy tissue? Or what happens? If somebody could chime in on this, it would be very much appreciated

I agree Tony, however urologists are not all andrologists, or even specialists in our condition.  A lot of uros specialize in prostate and urinary conditions more than ours.  An andrologist would be a better bet to know what we deal with.  I have first hand knowledge of this in my case. Godisreal, I unfortunately can't help you as I had my plaque mostly removed

I had a really hot gf at the time. Used to do really well with women. Confidence was booming didnt get jelous etc. Then one day i look down and i coulda sworn it was slightly twisted. As time went by just got worse and eventually ended up curved over like 8 months...that quick. I then didnt go go near a female till i was 23 and used to think *i need to stop letting this govern me*. I ended up going to a urologist and getting nesbit surgery. That was good and by that i mean i settled for it..till about 28 then i thought id try use a straightner device. Soon as i did that it set it off again now i have hard tissue where ud expect to feel it. I now just live with it and am aware not to F~@< with it.

Not gonna lie to you. It destroyed my youth. My prime years i was afraid of women. Wanted them. But was afraid to get too close. It comes in waves (the depression). When it hits me i just drink. Even to this day but.. like at my age now it still has me locked in a prison in my mind. I just think to myself *it could be worse you could be a paraplegic etc*

As for the older fukers complaining about it i completely agree with the other dude above. Try copping this crap when ur young. Its a fucken life sentance. Worste thing is u cant speak to anyone about it at all. Well i feel that way anyway. I have never ever spoken about it 2 any1 just in this forum and urologist. I think ill take it to the grave

TDix

You younger guys SHOULD talk about it.  I have battled depression from a teenager, and not because of my dick, but just the heaviness of life in general.  What you will learn as you get older is that acknowledging that you have a condition is not funny or makes you look like a freak, but rather you are strong enough to fight the fight.  Women, believe it or not, are more turned on by that then if you have a large straight dick that you are cocky (sorry) about.  Yes there are shallow people out there that want just that, but do you want to be in a relationship with a person like that?  Would you drop a girl that you really liked because she had large nipples?  Or maybe she has a larger breast than the other?  Yes those are not conditions like peyronie's but women obsess over their own bodies imperfections.  This is "our" imperfection, but don't let it destroy you.  Do something about it.  Find the best specialist you can that can help you get back to a point where you accept who you are.  We are all unique, and while this condition can destroy you, it can also make you stronger.  You just have to fight for it

Btw someone must know something about these bulging veins/cordlike formations. I see that a lot of people have this, is it possible that not even doctors have an useful explanation for this?

I agree Tdix, an andrologist is ideal, however many of the peyronies specialists do not advertise themselves as such.

GIR, when plaque shrinks it disappears it is remodeled into healthy tissue.

Calcification = basically calcium can be dissolved and "taken back" by the body. Doesn't happen overnight obviously.
