Hi guys. Just found this forum.

Some stats for context:

I just had my 1st round of xiaflex about a month ago.
I have had Peyronies Disease for about 14 months.
I had an initial stinging pain before onset of curvature and plaque development 14 months ago.
I have only had one bout of pain during this time and it quickly resolved.

I had been doing traction for about 6 months before I did the xiaflex.

Since xiaflex and a few days before actually, I have had intense pain every day. I did nothing at all that would have set off this pain. I can't think of anything causative beyond the xiaflex itself.

In my understanding traction is crucial to xiaflex success. But I can't do it now because I am getting the stinging again. And a dull and alternating sharp pain all day. So I stopped traction altogether.

I am very scared that because of the pain that is an indication it is creating more plaque.

I can't really take much for supplements due to medical issues. I am on Cialis, lipoic acid and vit. K2.

What should I do? Can you do traction if you are in pain? I have read that is inadvisable but you only get one chance with xiaflex and mine is being ruined. I feel totally cheated of a chance to see some improvement. What should I do? Having terrible anxiety because of lack of ability to do anything productive.

Have you tried voltaren gel topical for pain?
PxD 2 yrs 9/16.  Failed all treatment. 9/11/18: excision, grafting & implant Dr Karpman MtnView Ca, AMS CX 18cm + 3-1cm RTEs.
Pump failed.  2/11/20 Dr Karpman installed Titan 22cm +1cm RTE.

If the traction doesn't worsen the pain, maybe give it a shot?

I have tried voltaren, yes. Thank you. It helps a little bit. But a few times a day the pain is breakthrough bad stabbing pain.

I am very afraid that this pain signifies that new plaque is being created.

And also afraid that xiaflex is wasted because I can't do anything. So hard to know what to do because on the different forums some say doing traction will make it worse if you are having pain and some say it will help. I guess I will just try to do gentle by hand and see what happens.

What does your doc say?
You need to go to your doc and find out what the Xiaflex injection did. Does the injection site hurt? Or is it where the plaque sits? Did you have imagining  done before? Could you do additional imagining now to check for changes?

Many possibilities.. could also be the xiaflex did something good but possible change/shifting in the tissue creates pain.
If you use traction while you're inflammed it could make matters worse.

I would use anti inflammatory transdermals right to the site of the injection. But of course that's alternative treatment(DMSO) and I don't know how it would react with the remaining xiaflex(if it's there).

What you always can do is eat very healthy. Supplement with Vitamin C several times a day(can't hurt).

Doc isn't going to know anything without another ultrasound and I don't want the risk of more fibrosis from alprostadil. Already had one ultrasound. Even if they found more plaque, so what? Treatment would remain the same.

The pain is sort of diffuse. Sharp stings sometimes in different places. Aching in left side of shaft. Aching in balls. In muscles in legs. Different parts of shaft. There is tingling and numbness too. Does not seem to be related to injection site.

I masturbated this AM. 3 days before I was supposed to (at 4 weeks out). I did this because I thought maybe the pain was just blue balls and wanted to rule out that option. Nope. Still hurts.

Are there any easy DMSO recipes somewhere without reading 100 posts to become a world expert? I understand to dilute it, test it somewhere else. Don't wear latex gloves, etc. I will read more about that. But I don't want to read a thousand pages. I've already read 20000 other ones here about other topics. I hate knowing this crap.

I agree, it's kinda stupid turning into a wannabe expert on all of this ;) I blame the docs, most suck(especially in the EU)

This sounds like a nerve is involved if it goes through the pelvic floor and into the legs + tingling and numbness.
An injection can also be perceived by the body as a trauma(even if you're mentally OK with it) and the pelvic floor tightens up.(Such a muscle tightening can pressure a nerve).
You mentioning you had pain before the injection points to that too(PF tightening up in anticipation and then chronicly).
Breathing "into" the pelvic floor expanding it into all directions can help with that... loosening up. Lot's of exercises about this.
But that's just educated guessing :/ Could also be something with the tissue/swelling/inflammation..

I'm not totally up to date on Xiaflex but I remember that they aim for the plaque with the injection depending on what they saw on the doppler? If so another doppler might make sense anyway.. but your worry about alprostadil might make sense..

DMSO needs to be 99,99% quality. Mix 7 parts DMSO with 3 parts clean water(in a brown glass, with an eye glass dropper). Wait for the heat reaction to subside. Mix in the supplement (X) until solution is saturated. Test on clean skin(mild soap and then water). No other chemicals nearby. Apply to penis around the site of the plaque. Let it sit for 5-15 minutes, no colored clothes above it, natural cotton is ok. Wash off or apply a natural oil/lotion(aloe vera..). For me applying 1-5 times daily helped soften the plaque. DMSO itself has anti-inflammatory properties and is a well known substance in every chemical lab.
(X)= could be either Iodine(which if the plaque is near the skin could be used without DMSO), Ascorbic Acid(Vit C), Vit E or any other safe anti inflammatory or anti calcification supplement.(molecular weight has to be ~ below 1000 g/mol)
I never had any adverse effects other than burning my skin when applying undiluted  8)

Thanks Melting.

For the oil like castor, etc. do you mix it in directly with the DMSO or like you said here apply it after the DMSO? You say wash it off, OR apply oil. Would I not want the oil to go directly to the plaque?

Also, any ideas where I would get pure Pentox or vit. E without any gel binders or anything?

Would DMSO with Pentox be a good idea or waste of time?

Pentox has a molecular weight of 278.31 g/mol so it will very probable go through the skin layers.
There are some studies, science talk about transdermal pentox already on google. I have no good Dr. available so I can't try it but theoretically it could work.

I mix the supplement(incl. castor oil) in after I combined DMSO with some water to create the water-dmso heat reaction.(If not I fear the heat will destroy the supplement - and if you don't premix with some water and apply DMSO to skin it will react with the water in your skin)

I say wash off or/and apply oil cause depending on the DMSO+X mix it can be tough to the skin and a good oil or lotion "seals"/closes the skin and moisturizes.
If you have a "DMSO + X + Castor Oil" mix then you might not need to apply another oil/lotion after application.

You can dig a bit deeper here were I added (natural)emulsifiers to create a less messy solution that connects oil+DMSO+(X): https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,12587.msg115608.html#msg115608
