Hello, new to the forum.
I have a few questions about peyronie disease, my story might be weird one.
I'm 28 years old, and I think I've had peyronie disease since I was basically a teenager.

I cannot recall when I got it because my penis was this way for as long as I can remember myself. my penis is bent upward, erections are painful, and I have problems getting erections and maintaining them. the thing is that it's been like that for years, many years, I was never sexually active, and have dealt with depression for over a decade, which all led me to just never get checked about this or care much about these issues.

I've rarely gotten any 100% strong erections in the past years, I think I got used to have a semi-hard erections when I masturbate.
but the few rare times when I got a 100% strong erections I do remember it was hurting and I was losing them fairly quickly.

my questions are these:
does peyronie disease always causes penile shrinkage? the way my penis is right now is the way I've always remembered it, but since I've had this disease for basically a decade (if not more) then maybe I've lost size back then before I knew what this disease is and what it can do and I just can't recall how big my penis was before.

now I'm pretty sure I have this disease, and that means I've been having it for many years, so that probably means it's in its most severe form, is there even any solution besides surgical in my case?

and lastly, I'm thinking about starting taking finestride(propecia) for hair loss, should I be worried about the drug worsening my peyronie disease or causing further penile shrinkage? I couldn't find any evidence that fin can cause penile shrinkage/peyronie but I thought I'd check here.

Any help would be appreciated.

You should see a Peyronies specialist to diagnose the level of how severe your case is. But after this long if you don't have any kind of plaque or palpable scar tissue it's possible that it's either very mild or maybe you have congetial curve and something else going on. If it's Peyronies then there are a lot of treatments you can do and it's not too late to treat. Regarding finesterade I would highly suggest against it for a multitude of side effects which can be permennant that go far over just Peyronies disease alone. Not worth it IMO.
30 yrs old, peyronies diagnosis Aug 2019. Daily pentox, cialis, arginine, traction therapies. Started with dent and pain, top half penis thinned. Upward curve from pre peyronies natural left curve.  2 inch loss of length. 8 in to 6 inches. Nightmare.

I just asked you this in your thread hoping to find some answers. thank you for answering me.

I'm not sure how I can tell if I have any kind f plaque or palable scar tissue, I don't think I have any lumps, but when my penis is flaccid and I feel it all around the shaft, the upper side of the shaft is kind of slightly "tougher" then the under side or the sides of the shaft, but it's tougher all across the shaft from the base to the tip pretty much, I don't know if it's normal or not.

I've tried to research through solutions but from what I've seen there really aren't any effective ones, most of them are for when the disease as it its beginnings, all those meds and injections from what I've seen have minimal to no effect, and I'm not a fan of taking drugs for life, because they always gonna come with side effects.

the more prominent solutions are surgeries but from what I gather they have huge risks such as further penile shrinkage or permanent ED problems.
I don't know, if I've had peyronie disease for a decade then it's most likely in it's last degree, so pills/injections probably won't do anything.

and about fin- I know the possible sides, but from the data out there it happens in a very small percentage of people?
I could deal with ED/libido issues, if it worsens the ones I currently have I could quit the drug and it should fix itself.

but making my penis even smaller/worsening the peyronie disease is a whole different thing, although I couldn't find any clear evidence there is correlation between the two.
I'm 28 and soon to be slick bald. it's a nightmare and greatly impacts my mental health. and sadly fin is the only real help for it.

Oral supplements, Pentox and Cialis can help someone at any stage of the disease. As well as traction and VED. The fact you are still very young also works well in your favor for a good response to treatment and improvements . A penile implant done by an experienced  high volume surgeon with the no touch method will not any more penile shrinkage. Certain surgeries can, and also a poorly done implant. But a good implant will stop everything in it's tracks not cause further issues and is the best solution for someone with severe ED.   That being said it's a huge change that you can't go back from so it's really important someone thinks about that ahead of time.

You would not recommend surgery?
I don't know what counts as severe erectile dysfunction, but lets just say I cannot recall the last time I had a full 100% erection, and we are talking years here.
but what I do remember is that when I had those 100% full erections, it was painful and the erection was quickly lose due to the pain.
