Hi

Because I'm having painful erections someone here told me to give my penis some rest, meaning no sex.

I see that pain sometimes lasts for months. What do you guys do? Just stop having sex?

Does it make a difference? Less sex = less pain.

Complete abstinence is not a good idea, limit it to once a week or once every 1.5 weeks or 2, make sure you masturbate correctly.

If it doesn't cause pain or discomfort and done gently no need to limit Sex or masturbation at all.

I get that Tony, but the point is that it does causes pain. It is painful to get an erection and it is painful to have sex, for me, now at this moment.

Therefore the question. Should I wait 2 years until it settles down to have sex again?

Regarding NeoV's comment, what is your suggestion exactly?
- Replacing sex with masturbation max once every two weeks?
- Any of the two max once every two weeks?

I'd start by treating the pain.  Possibly consider topical voltaren.
