Hello All,

Been lurking these forums for a while and it great to have found a community to share experiences with.  I am here learn about ways to cope/treat and also to contribute myself given my disappointing interaction with a urologist. My peyronies is currently in acute phase and would like to discover ways to lessen the curvature/effects that occur during chronic phase.

Symptom: About 3 weeks ago I experienced pain in my fully hard erections in the top-right side of my penis near  the glans (head) where I would hold my thumb during masturbation (would hold and edge). The area near the glands and sometimes under feels harder when flaccid and hard; the veins in this area have become more prominent. My erections have been the same aside from pain in the area. I used to masturbate for hours at a time, multiple times a day with multiple attempts to quit (on and off). Times I have quit masturbating was because I was fulfilling that need when dating someone. I feel my Peyronies Disease is being caused by the long periods of time I held on this area. I am uncircumsized with a lifelong curve downwards and to the left.

Doctors visit: Went to a Urologist to see if I can get a diagnosis, learn more about how the disease, get imaging, and discuss future treatments if necessary.  The experience was disappointing as he said could not feel nothing (even though I asked him to check 2x) and that he is sorry but cannot in providing information/diagnosis/medication/etc. He also fed me the same story that masturbation, no matter how long/frequent, is "healthy". This is disappointing as he  is the practice's penile specialist.  In time I plan to find someone who is more informed.

Current treatment:Plan is to stop masturbating, take 200mg COQ10 (Costco Qunol Ubiquinol tablets, spaced 100mg morning other night), and starting on ALCAR as I have found it may be promising to acute phase. Have read multiple accounts and this seems to be the general consensus of what to do during acute phase and am open to new suggestions :) :).

Looking forward to share results of my experience. I have read that acute phase changes to chronic phase almost overnight, and that's where the curvature becomes prominent and plaque fully forms. I am dreading this transition so I am doing all that I can to minimize this.

I would consider traction.  My logic would be that gentle prolonged stretching during the acute phase may stop the plaque (scar tissue( from contracting and causing deformity.
