Aquaporins are affected by ADH - also known as vasopressin. They should activate these channels. I think this is the type 2 aquaporin though, but I am writing this from my phone without referencing any good physiology sources. I studied them back in medical school.

For what it's worth, dry fasting motivates the body to hold onto water. This should make urine more concentrated by increasing vasopressin. I have noticed this decreases pain/improves erections.

When you do not secrete vasopressin, you have something called diabetes insipidus. I wonder if there is some correlation there. Diabetes insipidus can either be central or nephrogenic. In the nephrogenic kind, you are making it but not responding to the hormone.

Try dry fasting? Lol.
