Recently diagnosed with possible peyronies disease. I had an injury after sex  6 weeks ago. Not immediately noticable, or with immediate symptoms. Last week I noticed a slight indentation on the top of my penis beneath the head, not sure if there before or not. As well as being woken up at night with some painful erections, at the very top of the penis , head. The Urologist I went to told me to take vitamin E and follow up with him in 6 to 8 weeks and see if things heal up more. Two doctors did a physical exam and both noted there was no plaque, inflammation, or any noticable signs of issue. He thinks it could also be an injury or irratiation that's agitating the nerve on my penis and that could be wear the pain is coming from.

The pain has already gone away alot. I am guessing this is a soft tissue injury. Since this is the very acute stage. I want to be as prompt as possible with any treatments that are best. To prevent as much scar tissue and plaque build up as possible. And hopefully reverse full damage that happened.

The doctor gave me a paper about some methods of treatment and one was called potaba which has been shown to be very effective in the acute stage to prevent plaque from forming. Curious what people's thoughts and experiences with this medication are. It's effectiveness and how well it prevents issues from progressing?

I am looking for any other options either over the counter, prescription, or therapy and likewise. So that I can treat this now with all tools I can have available to promote as much healing as possible and prevent longer term damage and dysfunction. What are my best options right now in regard of all of this?  So far I am doing vitamin E, and picking up a traction device called andropenis. Is it good to stimulate erections to help the healing process right now? Or would that create more possible injury? Because I can also do no fap for some time to help healing too. Whichever would be better.  I know i should at least abstain from sex for a month or two, no girkfriend so no issue with that anyways. Thanks so much for any help!

First, just my opinion, I would get a new doctor. If he can't diagnose peyronie's and prescribes potaba and vitamin E, he is not qualified to treat you. Find a peyronie's specialist. Vitamin E won't help. But it won't hurt. Potaba is outdated and potentially harmful from side effects.

Read the survival guide here. Get on Pentox, Arginine and Cialis or viagra daily.

Traction and VED are options.

But none of the above matter if you don't have peyronie's. Get a proper diagnosis with a manual exam and a color double doppler ultrasound. And don't listen to anyone on earth that tells you to "wait and see." Only listen to proactive doctors.

Thank you my thoughts exactly. I wanted to do aggressive early intervention by any means. And he said nothing you can do, it's either going to heal with light scar tissue or very minimal and the pain will go away, or if you're the person that develops harder thicker scarring then that will affect curvuture.

I will do those suggestions, so getting regular erections during this time period does not cause more damage? And is helpful? I want to be sure cause I imagine like injusrinf a muscle in the acure phase to promote optimal healing rest is best for a certain amount of time. I figure d the same would apply for my erections, to keep them as minimal as possible during early healing.

The manual exam from two different doctor found nothing to determine Peyronies or major damage, did not get get an ultrasound though which would show more of what's going on.

Getting nocturnal erections (naturally occurring ones while you sleep and aided by viagra or cialis, etc.) is good and beneficial but masturbating should be avoided at this time. But I won't go into detail there, I am not knowledgable enough in that area to comment. But if you have an injury from sex, masturbation is definitely not encouraged. Read some posts from pfract, nockegari (spelling?), NeoV and a few others to get an idea about penile fractures.

Reached out to my doctor earlier today and tried to get pentox and Cialis prescribed. He's not really responding or helping to prescribe much at all. I think he is really annoyed at this point by how much I questioned his suggestions already lol.  Anyways I will try through some else if necessary.

I believe my issue is from penile injury where there wasn't full fracture but damage enough to cause my lingering issue right now. Even without Peyronies disease I'd this is an injury that's just healing itself. Getting on pentox, cialis, and argininine should help heal it optimally with less possible scar tissue correct? Along with traction therapy stretching and massage? So far on two physical exams there is no presence of scar tissue or visible damage at all . Would love to keep it that way and heal 100 percent as possible.

As far as masturbation, if it hurts or is uncomfortable stop.  Otherwise, it shouldn't be a problem if done while hard and not aggressively (w lube if cut).

Thank you thats helpful, another question I had was in regards of losing length and girth. I hear that it will happen a lot of times from the scar tissue and atrophy, does taking immediate intervention avoid that? I don't know if it's a result from long term untreated Peyronies and ED causing atrophy, or from the scar tissue itself. However I haven't lost any length or girth yet and hope to keep it that way. I also do not have any plaque or felt scars, at least on physical examination, at least not at this time anyways.

So if I get on Pentox, Cialis, and argininine now, and do the traction or other form of penis stretching my understanding is that won't be an issue?
