Success story: Lordosis, pelvic floor and APT and no more pain during erections

So i have great news: my peyronie started around this time last year (hourglass near the glans, lost length and girth). The active phase lasted the usual around 3 months, but then i would keep getting pain in my erections IF my pelvic floor spasmed (like when you ejaculate). The problem was that it was spasming all the time, even WHILE getting an erection. It would hurt EXACTLY where my plaque is located. So needless to say, everything has been a very painful and frustrating experience. The pain would happen only when i spasmed or contracted my muscles voluntarily. Now a woman gave me a blowjob and i felt 0 pain. And i was erect for 20 minutes.

I made a topic a while ago on a speculation of mine linking pelvic floor dysfunction with peyronie: https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,12197.0.html

Some users commented that pelvic floor massage worked for them and i decided i should try. Since i could not find a massage specialist for the moment, i went to a urologist to get another opinion. He suggested that it (my pelvic floor spasming involuntarily) could be a neurological problem. At that point i had an Eureka moment that i actually have Lordosis (inward curvature of the lower spine) and he said that it could be possible that the nerves there are pinched.

I was (still am) in the process of seeing an actual neurologist and physiotherapist for my back, but in the meantime i did what i could: looked for exercises for lordosis on the internet. There were suggested sleep positions for lordosis (on your back only with a pillow under your legs so that your lower spine sits straight). I did that. There were suggestions on various exercises (psoas stretch, butterfly stretch etc). I did some of those but concentrated on butterfly stretches and even slept in butterfly even if it was VERY uncomfortable initially and i was extremely stiff. Most importantly, someone said that it is very important to always focus on your posture, especially when walking - abs engaged (mine were always disengaged) and flexing my ass (i never flexed it). You can read more about it here https://www.theopclinic.com/op-explained/2-2-op-mechanics-in-detail/ . Also did a lot of "slav squatting" for lower back

Basically i forced my lower back into normal position for as long as i could and also focused on stretching my abductors (see the link above). By no means it is corrected, it snaps back to the usual whenever i don't pay attention but it looks like any little thing helps.

Just for the record i also completely stopped masturbation for months now and plan on never doing it again. I think masturbation massively contributed to my problems, including peyronie.

I tried to stop getting erections unless i am with a real woman (so i made a huge effort to stop sexual fantasizing). Basically my only erections happened in my sleep. I could see that i would get those pelvic spasms whenever i got erect in a wake state, so the obvious solution was to stop. My only erections were the nocturnal ones.

I also used magnesium oil to relax the tense muscles that contributed to APT (anterior pelvic tilt): my back muscles and my quads. And on my pelvic floor and abductors.

So yes: after one year i had my first pain free erection. Still no pleasure but i had some feeling in the head of the penis which was amazing. Oh and i also think i got some size back by the looks of it.

To summarize:

- no masturbation, no sexual arousal if i am not with a woman

- exercises to correct lordosis and APT (sleeping position, forcing correct posture whenever i could, butterfly stretches, slav squats). Also, never sit cross legged (like women do).

- magnesium oil on the muscles that force the pelvis in APT and that force lordosis - back muscles and quads. And on pelvic floor and abductors.

31 yo, Hourglass Peyronies likely because of masturbation

Treatment: Vit E and fish oil (vitD+E), no more masturbation; good improvement so far, less hourglass both in flaccid and erect state, little to no pain during erection now

Glad to see you had improvement! The body is very interconnected, including the pelvic floor/back/legs. Some people reported success using the DCT program for hard flaccid/pelvic pain, which utilizes the psoas stretch, and pretty much all of the other exercises you mentioned. And I've notice personally that when I don't masturbate at all, my pelvic floor feels way healthier.

Keep up the good work!

Glad to see you have made improvement!

What were your initial symptoms? Did you have curvature or just loss of size and painful erections?

Very happy for you:)

I had hourglass followed by loss of length and girth in the shaft in between the lesion and the tip. And the pain that came along

Yes, but this holds true for just getting erections too. In my case, i had a severe porn/masturbation addiction and even when i stopped masturbating i still kept on "cruising" on arousal. I would imagine sexual scenarios and get an erection and just keep it without touching it. Usually this involved voluntary and involuntary pelvic flexing. I could stay erect and aroused for more than half an hour just by thinking about it.

So i would say it's not just about the act of masturbation but of getting and staying erect on demand, when no sex is on the table.
