Suspected Venous leak

After trying to have sex without a full erection, I noticed a pain and lump on my penis and since then I had a Peyronie scare. I was so anxious that I began to google abt Peyronie and noticed some people also complain about venous leak: I also began to search about venous leak and noticed I have similar symptoms. I tried to watch porn and masturbate to see if my erections were still okay (i had stopped P and M for a while before now) and noticed I could not keep an erection at all; my erections fall almost immediately.

This has made me depressed and sad, I cannot think of anything anymore, I feel suicidal and think of leaving my job. I hear there is no cure for venous leak.

I hope it is not a venous leak as I fear. Any other possible reason for not sustaining erection? I have stopped porn after my death grip syndrome early this year and already noticed improvements until now

I have the feeling that it doesn't matter what causes erectile dysfunction. Arterial insufficiency, venous leakage, prostate problems, Psychogenic, Peyroni, Nerves ...... no matter. In one diagnosis it is more pronounced, in another it is less pronounced. It makes no sense to think what exactly is causing this because the treatment is the same for all diagnoses. Be it Cialis, Viagra, Lezitra, Injections or Implant. There is no other treatment. And no one was permanently cured of it. What studies say is that erectile dysfunction improves after 3 months of daily cialis - crap. how I didn't see anyone in this forum posting - PEOPLE, I WAS HEALED.

It CERTAINLY matters WHAT THE CAUSE IS.  If it is psychological it 100% curable/solvable.  I had prostate surgery and went from extremely reliable erections to ZERO erections for months but started getting erection after months on erectile drugs.  The problem for me is that I then developed Peyronies Disease shortly after my erections began to return.

Can VED be used in acute face with pains and hourglassing? Or is traction a better option.?

I mean, whatever erectile dysfunction is, it's a fact. You can have a ZERO erection and psychogenic, you can also have an arterial or intravenous .... and all this is treated in the same way. Tadalafil, sildanafil, VED, or injections. And as I get out of the posts here ..... no one has healed permanently.

It is just common sense to know many people with psychologically based ED can and do permanately overcome it.  Many men with nerve trauma from prostate surgery regain erections after several months so your conclusions are not correct.

Sten1:

I totally disagree with you that at least some members do in fact overcome Peyronies Disease and can still have a good sex life after that. And, at 90 years on Sunday, tomorrow 15 September, I can still manually stimulate myself to an erection, place a cock ring on to hold it up. Plus, I can still use that erection for any sex I want to do.

I have overcome several bout of PDs since the age of 24 way back in the 1950s. So, you do have something to look forward in getting over Peyronies Disease as well as other men's sexual health problems. You just keep the faith, and find a solution that works for you. Each and every case of Peyronies Disease is not the same, just some similarities, so each has to be treated by a method that works for you.

Hi all,

Here's an update to my condition.

I did a doppler and MRI scan: MRI showed nothing wrong. Doppler showed I have a calcified plague at about 0.9mm to the left, and uro said this cannot be the cause of my erectile dysfunction (Is 0.9mm that small?). I however find it weird that the doppler scan did not find any plaque to the right of my penis despite an obvious bend to the right and feeling of lump.

I now have hard flaccid, more priminent while standing. I also hardly ever get erections when standing. I can get a reasonable erection while lying down after mental stimulation.

Doppler result showed that there is no demonstratable evidence of a venous leak, although my penis didn't totally increase to the injection.

When i do a stretch to the left of my penis I feel a dull pain, possibly confirming the calcified plaque in the doppler result.

The 2 huge lumps to the left of my penis were said to be enlaged veins. I can see them visibly when I get my hard flaccid.

Now I am confused, result says no venous leak but why do I get erections while lying down but never when standing? Why do I also get hard flaccid while standing? Is this because of the plaque?

Will this ever heal? Will I get normal erecctions when standing again?

I am still on pentox and L Arginnine

Thanks

Can't answer the rest but FYI, according to Dr. Eid, you can't tell if a plaque is calcified unless you get an x-ray. And even then, who cares, you'll be treating it the same.

Meaning a doppler and an MRI is useless for diagnosing a plaque calcified? I've never heard this before.

Doppler can diagnose that you have plaque and where it is, but not whether it is calcified. And calcification is not uniform anyway. Parts of the plaque may be calcified and others not as much. There is no clear timeline for how long it takes for a plaque to harden. Could be a day, could be a decade.

My doc could differentiate between plaque and that which was calcified w the ultrasound.

Maybe he could. Not disagreeing. Just relating what Dr. Eid told me. He said it was impossible to tell without xray. And also said no plaque is uniform. Some are totally calcified. Some partially, etc.

Can a doppler detect a venous leak? I still have a pain down there and swollen veins at the lateral side of my penis. I can only get partial erections while laying on the bed but I lose them when I stand. However doctor says there is no demonstratable evidence of venous leak because of my response to the papaverin injection.

I was injected for doppler while laying down so i do not expect a lack of response from this position.

Is there an actual way to see the blood flow in a doppler? I have the results but when i take it to my urologist, he only read the report without viewing the actual "film".

I really don't know what to do. I need a proper diagnosis on why i never get erection while standing but partial erection while sitting, there must be a reason.

I am getting more and more depressed and I need help please.

I can't answer the other questions but yes, the ultrasound, or the inflow/outflow stuff they measure while doing the ultrasound (not sure what this part of the exam is called) does measure whether or not you have venous leakage.

I had a doppler test some weeks ago and the doctor report said the following:

"There is gradual and sustainable increase in the carvenosa artery peak velocity attaining up to 25cm/sec at 20 mins post papaverin injection.

There is no demonstratable disatolic flow reversal. The end disatolic flow reversal however measures <5 CM/Sec, suggestive of no venous dysfunction"

However I have read that a adequate arterial flow occurs when PSV is >35cm/sec.

Could my doctor report be wrong? Or could he have used a low dose of injection?

Also i noticed that injection lasted only about  20 minutes (my penis only extended forward while laying, rather than raising up like a proper errection). I have heard may people say they have their erection after this injection for up to 1 or 2 hours. Why is mine different?

I need opinions please. Thank you

It is unlikely that the urologist's read is wrong.

No need to repeat the test. The injection is inherently fibrotic and can cause Peyronies Disease.

But I cannot get an erection while standing and I have at least 2 venous thrombosis by the left of my penis.. Does this not suggest venous leak?

2 venous thromboses? You realize that is a blood clot in your penile veins, right?
