Hello,

I'm very new to this forum, only recently decided to post to gain some advice.

I've been diagnosed with Peyronies since April 2019, I'm not at the 'Chronic' phase as of yet. I'd like to do some home treatment as much as possible to help reverse the effects or at least reduce them.

I have a more than normal curve, around 20% I think (not measured). I've found it difficult to get usual mid day erections or even morning wood. Slight Pain, but nothing too bad.

I've seen and read that Heat Therapy is a good treatment to do. I need a few questions answering;

- How long do you do heat therapy for? (Time applying the heat & how many times a day/week etc?
- What are good effective items? Like handwarms, water bottles etc? Do I apply it directly to the curved area?
- Do I do Heat Therapy with anything else such as traction?
- Is Heat Therapy the best treatment?

Also has anyone had much experience and luck with changing their diets? I.E Keto, Water Fast, Plant Based etc

I hope to hear some replies!

Thanks guys,

- J
Potential Peyronies since 03/19. 1 Consultant Visit (No Positive Outcome), Unsure of my next steps for getting this sorted. Small indent, bend to the left and difficulty gaining & maintaining an erection. Need advice on treatment. Thanks,

I'll let everyone else chime in on everything else. In the meantime, start reading. Start with the survival guide.

Rice sock is the best for a heat pad. Google or YouTube rice sock. Literally Uncle Ben's in a cotton sock. Tie off the sock. Microwave it for 45 seconds with a glass of water alongside it in the microwave. Don't place on your ding dong if it is too hot. Don't leave it there for an excessive period of time. I do it before traction or VED. Or after traction because the blood flow is reduced at that point particularly if you use a Penimaster or similar device. Everyone seems to have different preferences and routines. Your body will let you know what is good.

I have been using a IR lamp for a couple of weeks.  Based on a hyperthermia study, I aim for about 30 mins a day. This was the study that used a microwave gadget to generate heat.  My reasoning is radiative heat may be practically necessary to sufficiently raise the temperature in the tunica, as compared to conductive heat. I could also use with a VED.
I bought a 100w IR floor lamp from Amazon for under £20 which I'm highly impressed by. Must be one of the best value items I've ever bought. It can be adjusted to practically any height or angle and has a very wide base to help avoid tipping over. With this power, I adjust it to about 6-8 inches away.  (Using a towel with a slit or hole in it is more comfortable) A 250W lamp would be more convenient in that respect, but I get high electricity bills. I'm not sure if this model could be used with a 250W.  If there is a shortcoming it is the lamp shade quickly gets very hot and so then can't be touched directly to adjust it: if it had a rod or handle to do so, it would be an improvement.  It also looks quite presentable and I think would make a very useful normal lamp if it was fitted with a compatible bulb.
I haven't tried this with traction yet but I might try. Exposed metal rods would certainly get very hot from this, perhaps with some silicone convering would be advisable.  Instead, I'm interested in improvising an LED attachment to apply low intensity radiative heat with traction.
Is it the best treatment - there are very few studies on it, but it is cheap, and fairly quick and easy to do, and can be done at the same time as other treatments.
Please let us know how you get on.
Age 57, Onset 2010, 2" shortening, shrinking and angulation of glans, weaker erections, 30 degree bend. Mild pain few months, but far from worst symptom. Tried many ideas, not just from here, but not consistently. Moderate improvement, maybe 40%

I've been using hot hands, and a TP roll. So place hot hands in the empty TP roll and place it over your flaccid penis.

I keep it there for 15 -30 mins. I don't go longer.

Not sure how well it works or if it's even effective, but it does increase blood flow. I have certainly noticed that.

Do not keep it on for too long. I kept it on for over an hour before and it lowered my erection quality for a couple days after. Not sure why it lowered my erection quality. Just make sure not to forget it's there.
