Perceptible Curve

Xiaflex shots weren't  working enough for me, did help some but still not getting ridged or straight erections still that still allows buckling. Next move is the implant. Already talked to the doctor and got some answers. He will be implanting an AMS 700 LGX that will expand both length and girth, supposedly. My concern is how much will it? I am a grower not a shower and it gets quite a bit longer in the erect state. Also my stretched penis is longer yet. Will they use erect or stretched penis when measuring for implant? Also can it be cycled daily without wearing out prematurely? I plan to call him Monday and schedule implant surgery depending on what answers I get here. Thanks for any help you offer.

I believe all these stretch tests and erection lengths are just ball park estimates.
The real measurements are taken internally while you're unconscious.

My doc said he'd inject me while under to aid the measurements, but I really have no idea how that went.
Bottom line is he did measure me perfectly and for that I'm thankful.

Good luck with your journey.

Perceptible curve, the first and without a doubt, the most important thing for you to know is the depth and breadth of the experience of the surgeon you choose.  This experience is gained through the volume of implants.  No one is more of an advocate for inflatable penile implants than I am because of the transformation in my life and as you can see by every other journal here, the lives of all that have gotten one.  That being said, PLEASE read thoroughly the material linked to in the index on choosing a surgeon.

Your ultimate length is NOT determined by the brand or model of the implant.  It is determined by a surgeon skillfully sizing you.  An AMS 700 will give you a smaller softer flaccid, not a bigger erection.  In fact, if you have a large girth the AMS  could give you a smaller girth.  If your erect girth is not over 5" - 5 1/4" it might not make any difference.

If the surgeon does not document your presurgical size in the notes then if you end up 3/4" shorter there is not much you can say.  If they do not document your pre-surgical size it would be a sign to me that they want no record of size loss.  A great surgeon will give you an inflated penis that will equal you BPSFL.

Thanks for your answers Gentlemen. Guess I will need to get another appointment with Doctor for more answers. At this point I am leaning toward not having it done.

Can I ask why?  And, do you have a plan "B"?

The reason for not having done for couple of reasons one is taking more time off work for more appointments for discussion with doctor ,surgery and recovery time. Just over the last year I have been off work on short term disability twice for peyronies and ledderhose disease. Some appointment I used up vacation time for, Don't like using vacation for that. Also the possibility of losing more length, already lost and inch from peyronies alone

As for plan B, don't have one.

I did start looking into doctors that specialize in implants however not seeing any in my location (ERIE PA). Already decided not to go to NY City.

Well, it seems you have thought it through.  I wish you the best.  I would suggest that you use traction and/or VED to retain size.  I view those as critical while you wait for any plan down the road.  Without them, you face the possibility of losing ground.

That's great advice Hawk.  Dr. Perito says to apply the VED and pump it up so that it is comfortable but one more pump and it will not be comfortable any more.  Leave it on for 30 minutes.  Try to do this three times a day.  This can prevent you from losing length due to atrophy, and if you end up getting an LGX, it will help you regain any length and/or girth that you may have already lost. :)

Hi Larry,

Sorry if I misunderstood. Are you saying to do VED after you get LGX or prior to getting?
45 y.o. Single. Onset of symptoms (pain-stinging like a wasp) @ 6/2018. No sudden injury. Curve developed slowly. 40 deg. dorsal. Hourglassing. Torsion to left flaccid. 4 rounds xiaflex. Restorex, DMSO+, heat, arginine, cialis, lipoic acid, vit. K2

Hi Larry,

[/b]  Both.  I have been using the VED for 21 months and I went from around 1" to 4.5" in length and just over 6" in girth FLACCID.  There are many doctors who support VED therapy, Dr. Paul Perito and Gerald Brock to name two.  Dr. Kramer is on the fence, I haven't yet convinced him that it works (although I would have thought my numbers almost prove it) but he won't say that it doesn't work.  Don't tell doctors or your implant maket that you are using the VED.  AMS says that it will nulify your warranty yet, in another place in there literature I found a comment that supports the use of VED... better safe than sorry and say nothing.  Using the VED does not do anything to the implant. :)
