I think this is related to peyronie, it seems like i trained my pelvic muscles to contract to get and hold an erection. It feels like my penis is under huge pressure and i think that peyronie may be connected to high blood pressure in the penis that happens when those muscles flex.

Technically they should flex on ejaculation but mine flex all the time, even while getting erect. When i'm aroused, they flex and make my penis feel like it's literally about to pop.

How is it for you?

It absolutely is related and I had to train myself off it. It actually requires you to masturbate and stop stimulating yourself the moment you flex. It’s not so much masturbation as it is gentle stimulation and a kind of biofeedback.

Thank you for answering. I believe masturbation is not healthy and that it contributed greatly both in developing peyronie and in acquiring this flexing habit (i'd flex so i can stay erect more).

So i stopped masturbating even if i'm not having sex at the moment and i figured the other day that a very good way to make those muscles unflex is just by gently pushing the erection down and pushing your pelvic floor (reverse kegels).

I think the pelvic floor contractions create huge blood pressure in the penis and it contributes to developing peyronie. Definitely not a normal way to get and maintain an erection.

Now, when i push down, i can feel my penis actually swelling with more blood rather than the muscles squeezing what's in the penis in the first place to make it artificially fuller.

Basically i think this muscle (BC)  is the main culprit

Notice how if it contracts it can "squeeze" a huge chunk of the penis. Imagine squeezing a long baloon

I am currently getting pelvic floor therapy.  Sounds like you are having spasms in your muscles within the pelvic floor.  An experienced therapist can relax those muscles and help you recover.  I’ve only had three sessions and went from constant soreness in my penis to no pain

“She” is manipulating my pelvic floor muscles internally.  She inserts her finger and finds particular muscles, and asks if they feel tender or painful.  If they are she holds her finger there until the muscle relaxes.  I found I had very tight and tender muscles as a result of my surgery, and they would spasm when I’d get an erection or have sex.  3 sessions in, I don’t have half the tender areas as my first visit, and I am now pain free.  As a matter of fact I’m going on tomorrow for my next session.  Only exercises she has me do are specific stretches to stretch the nerve bundles in the area

Thank you for the answer. May I ask what surgery did you have?

Also, as i understand she doesn't touch the prostate, just the pelvic floor? So you don't feel pleasure out of it? Can't it be possible to make that stretching by yourself?

Can you describe the exercises she made you do?

These stretches involve holding one arm up in the air on a doorway, lunging forward with your leg and raising your other arm in the air while looking down.  This stretches the nerves in the pelvic area.  Also another stretch is to place your foot on a chair, placing the arm on the same side on your thigh, and then using your other arm to stretch over your head towards the leg on the chair

I had excision  and grafting surgery almost 4 months ago.  I would say that if I inserted my finger in my bum, I’d have no idea what muscles I was touching.  She knows exactly what muscles she is manipulating, and which ones affect the penis.  My last session she touched some new muscles which were actually my hip muscles and found they were really tender.  That session I think was my”aha” moment, as that really helped my pain.   She said whenever trauma happens in your pelvic area, like peyronie’s, Erectile Dysfunction, surgery, trauma, the muscles tense up as a defensive mechanism.

Also it’s not a pleasure thing or anything sexual.  It’s mainly releasing tension and relaxing the muscles.  She also massages my buttock muscles and lower back as well as pinpoints nerve connections on both sides of my groin.

A basic session involves taking my clothes off and putting on a hospital gown.  She comes in and has me lay down on my stomach.  She covers me with towels to only expose my butt, and then she does her internal work, which lasts about 1/2 an hour.  She then massages the area as well as my lower back, and then has me turn over.  I am totally covered except for the areas she is touching.  She moves the towels to expose either side of my groin, and massages the nerves.

Thank you.

Sounds like she is a professional, i've heard so many stories of "massages" that were just prostate stimulation.

But what i don't understand is why don't you try to touch those muscles yourself, you should feel when you hit a good spot that needs relaxing.

I am of the opinion that if you don’t know what you’re doing, don’t do it!  For all I know I’d be pressing on something too hard or incorrectly.  Also, doing personal internal exams on my stomach probably isn’t the best positioning to do it.  Try lying on your stomach and inserting a finger effectively.  I prefer to let the professionals handle that.

She names off muscles she’s touching that I’ve never heard of.  “I’m now touching blah blah blah”, how does that feel?  I’d have no idea

I wouldn't sit on my stomach but rather on the toilet or on a chair and reach down between my legs and make a hook with my finger to press down. I'll probably try this later actually. I am certain we can tell which muscles in our bodies are tense or hurt.

I would too, especially in the beginning. I took you post very seriously and looked for a pelvic floor specialist and sadly there seems to be none in my country. Unless i should be looking for something else?

Do you happen to know if the therapist you had been seeing offers skype counseling?

I guess those are the same thing... gets the muscles tensioned. But they dont have to be tensioned most of the time. A tensed pelvic floor is one that keeps the kegel forever

To relax the pelvic muscles, you can try to do a pelvic diaphragm release. YouTube it. It is an osteopathic technique.

I don't have this issue so my input is not likely of much use, however, I used to have a guided relaxation recording that would have you lay down on your back and relax.  The method was to start at one end of the body and learn how to control each muscle.  It would instruct you to first tense a muscle.  Then tell you to release that muscle.  It would do that a few times so you could learn to isolate that specific muscle. After a few cycles, it would tell you to disconnect all tension and control of that body part until it felt like it was only connected to you by a string.  Soon your individual body parts felt like they were individually laying heavily on the bed.  It had the backdrop of a calm voice and soft music.

I have only ever dabbled with meditation but it was the most effective process I ever tried for relaxing.  Even if I did it in the middle of the day I would usually be asleep before I got totally through it.

Sooooooo, I suspect you can do the same thing with pelvic floor muscles if you are calm and you patiently learn to isolate those muscles just as you would learn to isolate the muscles that can move your ears.  At first, you feel you have no control over those muscles.  You cannot isolate nerves that control them.  Then you find them but have little control.  Then you have them isolated and you can learn to both tense and relax them.  We all have tension in tiny muscle groups we are not even conscious of.  I think it is worth a try to walk yourself through guided meditation.  It takes patience.  You cannot hurry it.

I have no experience with this recording but it was the first thing to pop up when I type "Guided Meditation for Pelvic floor relaxation"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4syPT8gMDDA

I think that for those that do not have access to a professional for massage etc that something like this could be useful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4syPT8gMDDA

The nastiest spasms can be treated with counterstrain - again an osteopathic technique.

Some people call it Jones technique or ortho-bionomy. All the same thing.

Better to look for traditional counterstrain techniques though. Ortho-bionomy has some pseudo-science hipsters that have diluted the original counterstrain technique developed by Jones, D.O.
