Check this out (most of you have seen this before): https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://amp.theguardian.com/education/2014/oct/04/penis-transplants-anthony-atala-interview&ved=2ahUKEwiRzJGntMvjAhWSr6QKHQ3iDIEQFjADegQIBRAB&usg=AOvVaw3iWeoAcZQ2NyDMzw_Z8RGM&cf=1

In 2008 dr Atala and his team succesfully transplanted penisses on rabbits. In this article and some others from around 2014 testing on humans is discussed. After this period I haven't seen many updates and I'm wondering where we are today. I keep thinking that this is the future and penile tissue engineering will be closest to a cure we will ever get. Many of us don't have the desired results with current treatments and there's not much left to do than stick with these treatments and hope for the best while not improving much at all (or even getting worse over the years like myself). For those of us there's not much to do except hope for better treatment options. That's why I'm wondering if the discussed technology is going anywhere yet. Last time I mailed and had contact with wake forest they couldn't provide me much info, but maybe someone else can. Even if this might be YEARS away, how many years would that be? Is it even realistic to expect to see this in my lifetime? I'm 25 right now and would rather wait 30 more years for an actual cure than to get all kinds of surgery that won't give me the desired results anyway. In short, what can we expect from dr Atala? Will penile tissue engineering ever be a real thing? Hope someone can shed some light on this.

-you can't possibly  be serious when say you want to wait 30 years
-you don't know when this is coming
-that is a lot of time waiting and so much can and will happen on that time
-even when this treatment comes, like with everything there will be risks and complications
-it is probably going to be very costly and available only to the select few at first.

I don't know about you, but all of this would make me question my thoughts and planned course of action real hard.

There currently isn't a treatment that works. Implant isn't an option and I'm still getting worse. No clue what else I could still hope for. I can't be the only one who thinks current treatments are few and limited. Other than living a relatively healthy lifestyle, taking pentox and trying real hard to cope in other areas of life I wouldn't know what to do and neither does the last uro I saw.
