I have done probably 15 injections of Trimix in the past 5 months and 3 of Edex.   TRIMIX = PG - 5.88mcg; PA - 18mg; PH - .6mg

I haven't noticed any Peyronies.  And I have NOT been compressing the injection site for 10 minutes -- maybe 3 or 4...YIKES.  Anyway, Most of my Trimix injection have been around 10 units with some at 8.  12 or 14 is too much and gives me 3.5 hour erections.  When I first started,, 15 was just ok.  Then I tried 20 and it gave the biggest hardest erection of my life -- but was so uncomfortable.  So back to 15 and it was now too much too.  And then to 12, and finally settled in around 10 which still results in about 2 hour erections.  Now, I have been trying Edex.  at 10mcg, the smallest dose, it gives me a decent erection and goes away in an hour.  but like others have said, it kind of the leaves the head not fully erect.

What seems to work pretty good, is combining Sildenafil (Viagra) and a small amount of Trimix (6-8 units of old Trimix -- if I had a new bottle I wouldn't try more than 4 units).

My question is:  Is Edex safer than Trimix in relation to Peyronies?  Does taking a small amount of Trimix (like 6-8 units) lessen the risk over taking 15-20 units?

Jake, first of all, welcome to the forum.
You probably know that trimix is a combination of alprostadil, phentolamine, and papaverine.
Edex is alprostadil which is also sold as Caverject

I will tell you that the trimix has an estimated incidence of causing fibrosis in probably 20% of men who use it.  I used Bimix (phentolamine, and papaverine) for 8 months and injected 2 to 3 times a week and long story short, this forum was the result.  I know of no studies that have tried to compare the rates of plaque on fibrosis based on dose so it would be mere speculation to guess if a small dose is less likely to be a problem.  I would guess that since your tissue is still exposed to the worse offending drugs (phentolamine, papaverine).and since you are still injecting and have a potential of spilled blood in the tissue that the incidence would not be a lot smaller but in reality probably no one really knows the answer.

Edex (alprostadil) while no guarantee from fibrosis is a safer drug.

Please do two things.
1. Compress the injection site for 10 minutes to prevent internal bleeding.
2. Measure your penis and monitor for any lack of stretch of the flaccid penis and become familiar with your penis so you know the consistency of internal structures  (anything that feels like chords, lump, bumps etc)  If you lose any length, detect any definite changes in the feel of your stretched flaccid penis, or develop and curves, bends, or dents in your erect penis STOP INJECTING.

Additionally, beware of blood thinners like aspirin, ibuprofen, Alev while injecting.  If you have to use them make sure you apply pressure long enough after injecting.

IF you are not familiar with how to take objective measurements of your penis, including BPSFL just ask.   (just mouse over the abbreviation)

Jake,

Just to be certain, this is how you measure, I thought I would give you the whole instructions.

Please take objective exact measurements
Bone Pressed Erect Length (BPEL) - Press the ruler very firmly against the pubic bone and measure the length along the top of the penis (parallel to the floor) to the tip of the penis.
Erect Girth - Take 3 girth measurements (1. behind the glans 2. Midshaft 3. at the base)
Bone Pressed Stretched Flacid Length (BPSFL) - Press the ruler very firmly against the pubic bone, stretch the penis straight out parallel to the floor and measure to the tip
BPSFL is usually VERY close to erect length.

Always use the same ruler because some cheap rulers have a small inaccuracy in the first inch.  Round the corners slightly on the end pressed against the body so you can press it firmly without discomfort.

WRITE DOWN all measurements do NOT try to remember them.
