I may have xiaflex done.

I know it will be a failure because my plaque is calcified, so when it fails I would like to know how it will affect having an implant or graft or anything else. Because I read that it does. I just did not want to read the article because I know it would just piss me off even more because any good thing you can do for this disease is not available to me.

Why would the doc use xiaflex if there is no chance of improvement.

Sorry, I just want to know how it will affect future surgery. Don't want to get a procedure that makes surgery impossible or riskier in future. I don't need to read that article to know that the outcome is bad. They don't write articles about good outcomes.

He would do the xiaflex for the same reason a doctor would do prp or shockwave. To get money. It says all over this forum and in the literature that once a plaque is calcified xiaflex won't do squat. We all know this only ends in implants. There is no hope for this disease unless you are a young spontaneous healer or happen to get lucky some other way.

Reputable peyronies doctors recommend implants if xiaflex is not successful, so I can’t think of any contraindication.

Dr Yafi had said I could continue with Xiaflex “if that’s what I wanted” but said it wouldn’t do much since I was calcified.  I had probably the worst reaction you could get from a Xiaflex shot, and was able to have successful surgery 6 months later.  I would be hesitant with a doctor that wanted to proceed with injections regardless.  Dr Yafi gave me the option

I asked a question to a doctor if I go through  the series of Xiaflex and it doesn't work could I still get an implant. The doctor said yes and he seemed to suggest  that since I have Erectile Dysfunction that Xiaflex isn't the way to go.  Right now I'm being treated for Peyronies Disease with Xiaflex & TRT. My doctor right now suggest Bimix if Viagra or Cialis doesn't work any longer. I had my prostate removed in 4/2019. Any comments?

There is a study of prostate surgery patients which resulted in Erectile Dysfunction.  50mg nightly viagra cured the Erectile Dysfunction for many.  Search on forum for study.
