Hey all,

I've heard that the Zero carb or carnivore diet can help a lot with Peyronie's, though I've also heard that oxidative stress is one of the worst things for peyronie's and an all meat diet can cause oxidative stress.

Does anyone have the down-low on this way of eating? Any help would be appreciated!

I'd look at keto with intermittent fasting of 8-12 hours daily (overnight).  It has a great anti-inflammatory effect.  That combined with other treatment approaches is s great idea.  Also, be sure to get started w the survival guide: Peyronies Survival Guide - Information for New Members - Peyronies Society Forums

Thank you! I started with keto and have since moved to zero carb as from what I understood carbs and spiking blood sugar had a lot to do with negative effects of peyronies. Now I'm thinking I'm not getting any antioxidants to balance out the oxidative stress I may be putting on my body. Wondering if anyone has any input on that?

I think it's more the fasting that does the healing.

I tried carnivore. Lost a LOT of weight. I am back to carbs again, but still mostly keto. The prolonged fasting with the traction is what helped me.
Snake Diet + 5-day fasts + pentox + NeoV's stretching routine + Mito Red Light. Curvature 99% gone.

I also used Todd Capistrant's "Fascial Distortion Model" to help my curvature. Start slowly.

I heard that the Beer diet helps with Peyrones. I am sticking with that ;D

I don't think an all beer diet is in the cards for me. As far as I know alcohol has toxins that can make peyronie's dramatically worse.

If it's the case that fasting helps the most maybe I'll switch to the keto diet again so at least I'm getting some foods with nitrates like spinach as I've heard that can help too.

Anyone got any ideas or actual info let me know.

Just think about it. I have been drinking beer since I was 14 years old. I am almost 60 now. If beer contributed to my peyrones then I would have developed peyrones a long time ago. I have never been on a diet. Yet peyrones did not develop until recently. So what would make me think dieting and stopping beer would have any effect on peyrones? I am a lot better than when I first contracted peyrones.  Still drinking beer. Still eating the same foods. No more attacks.  No pain.  I had Xiaflex treatment. TRT. Vitamin E. Still love fast food and beer

Bubbadawg, Peyronie's hits men at various ages as do other metabolic diseases. Just because it came at your age and has calmed down doesn't mean diet is not related. Carpal tunnel syndrome is also a diabetic and inflammatory condition that hits people at all ages, and it MIGHT get better with standard treatments.

Alcohol makes my penis feel worse without a doubt. I can still drink moderately if I'm careful, but no alcohol will always make me feel better.

In my specific case, I only saw real benefit from fasting after I had been on a carnivore diet for a while. I had tried fasting a while back while on a normal paleo/keto diet and fasting had not done anything. My family has a background of diabetes and being overweight, but I never got fat.
This is an emotionally destructive condition, we all have it, let's be nice to each other.

Thanks guys,

I'm only about 2 months into the carnivore diet but today it seemed like my tiny lump was more pronounced than ever. I had a cheat weekend in the middle of my diet where I definitely had a lot of sugar (dried mangos) camping. I had some milk this week too. Maybe my body is still adjusting.

I also worked out twice this week till I was sweating profusely. Is having a hard workout bad for peyronies? I'd hate to think I can't lift weights and do cardio the same way. I'm really stressed about this. I'm going back to the urologist now that I can feel a lump where as a few months ago we couldn't at all.

Is overeating my meat a bad thing as well? Are there any supplements I should be specifically not taking?

I'm feeling insanely helpless about this and need some guidance.

Studies show that peyrones happens mainly to men from 40 to 65. Most of the young people in here have injured themselves through jelking or sex mishaps. For some it is congenital.  I am seeing a lot of 50s members

Young men get it but their presentation is different. They have many soft scars, as one study showed. I don't agree at all that young men tend to get it through injury. Our forum alone is testament to that. It seems pretty wide spread to me, but I agree that with age comes more chances to get it and worsening of health in general (more inflammation and metabolic worsening).

I have eaten carnivore diet for the past 3 months. Results are clearly good. Before I was 7 months on strick keto. Then I would have sporadic pain, but no super improvements in shape and deformity. Carnivore is making the difference for me for sure. Overeating is not good. Maintaining a ration of 80% calories from fat and 20% from protein is also good. According to carnivore specialists, your daily ratio of meat + fat is around 400g if you dont spend a lot of energy. That gives you approx 1500 kcal. If you work out a lot you can push that to 2000 - 2500. If you push it farther to gain weight, you will create unnecessary inflammation in the body. Better to gain weight without stress, and slowly. Also, make sure to supplement with electrolites and DO NOT overconsume on water since that will flush your electrolites and it is a little burden as well in the body. good luck!

How are you doing now and have had you more progress or relapse?
