What makes VED therapy use different than just maintaining an erection?

I've heard about people getting further damage from the VED device, but personally I just maintain an erection for maybe up to a couple hours per day and it seems like things are a bit less tight afterward, despite maybe a bit of inflammation. Would a VED still potentially have better results? I'm incredible sensitive to injury, as even just sleeping on my side at night has left a dent between my legs from my thigh's pressure.  
Age 23, symptoms started almost a year, only treating with topical H-100 for obvious yet hard-to-quantify benefits, as well as WoundVite. Extremely sensitive to further injury/irritation, but progression of hourglassing is extremely slow.

Was wondering the same thing today. I have never tried it, but I believe VED can create more bloodflow / force blood to more places. I would also like to know if regular erections have the same effect, less intense, but maybe a more safer option?
