What is a dent exactly?

I have a quite a large dent below the glans on the left side (I have never felt a hard lump as many have described here).
This dent is visible when flaccid, it changes in size, I guess it depends how much blood is inside the penis.
When erect, the dent is not really visible, but seems to cause the penis to curve to the left (more erect = less curve).
When I touch the dent in flaccid state, it does not feel hard, the area just goes inwards. If I touch about anywhere on the left side in erect state it feels very hard, like there is almost no more soft tunica tissue, like I am directly touching the corpora.

Is the tunica in this dented area now just filled with scar tissue?
I have read many things, but can penile scar tissue technically heal by its own after a few years?

Dents are damaged areas or hematoma in the penis from my understanding. The blood get's trapped or sticky in that area and it cannot fill out. It may get fibrotic as well. It's basically inflammation in the penis. I have seen dents go away with traction, or smooth out over the years, or with VED. Definitely take action sooner than later.

Thanks for the explanation, it makes sense.
Although, I do not understand the difference anymore between scar tissue, fibrous tissue, damaged tissue, plaque. They might be all the same.
But definitely looks and feels like the blood does not get through those areas. Even in flaccid state I used to be able to feel that area expand/contract, now the feeling is much less.

I have tried manual traction and it has caused pain and I believe worsening, so afraid of doing that again.
The pain/inflammation has been slowly going down in last few weeks by doing nothing much (low carb, less erections, no masturbation, colder showers), but dent remains. My uro very much advised me to not do VED or traction, especially in the active phase. But I am thinking of trying VED when it has been stable for a while.

Just to clarify what do you mean by smooth out, does the tissue feel like before, healthy and flexible?

I have a "dent" in the exact same place. Like you, I don't feel any plaque mass there like most people mention.

The only difference in that area is a loss of girth and pain after it has been touched.

I am not sure what it is or how to treat it. I desperately want to regain the width I lost there.
Onset of pain in March 2021
Progressed to loss of girth to dent under the glans left side

Been doing daily heat, traction, pentox, ved, cialis since initial onset of pain

Currently still experiencing pain and dent unchanged
