Hi, everyone, I was just diagnosed with early stages of Peyronie's at the very average age of 51, symptoms started appearing about 3 months ago - small lump on the left lower side of the penis close to the glans, intermittent dull but very mild pain mostly when flaccid. About a month later, I started to notice a notch in the penis above the lump/plaque, but it was small and no change in curvature. The plaque has now grown into a cord-like shape, about half an inch long, and there is another plaque developing on the corresponding right side of the penis as well. So far, no difficulty getting erection and though the notches are more apparent (mostly on the left but also on the right slightly) so far intercourse hasn't been a problem - though I notice that the head of the penis easily bends down when erect. Fortunately because the plaques are so far forward the stability of the erection seems OK but it's early days. Urologist confirmed Peyronies Disease but no action taken, but suggested vitamin E cream or oil, although admitted there isn't much evidence that it works. NHS (I'm in the UK) doesn't pay for injections but that would anyway be an option for later when it stabilizes. Have begun to take Q10 about 200 mg and Vitamin E oral, and also applying heat treatment around the penis more or less daily for half an hour or so - this helps with the dull pain at the very least. So far it's not much of an issue other than cosmetically (which doesn't bother my wife fortunately) but I remain concerned how much worse it will get eventually. Seems like some people have very rapid progression, others slow, so not really clear whether I'm likely to get much worse or stabilize. A slight bend or indentations are OK, but a severe hourglass shape that made penetration difficult would be worrying. Happy to hear from people in similar situation.
Diagnosed in 2019 initially ventral indentation, hourglassing w/ slight rightward curve
In 2020 developed dorsal curvature, ~70 deg
Tried traction (PMP), VED, heat, vitamin E, no change
Modified Nesbit surgery Dec 2022, <10 deg

Get on Trental (pentoxifylline) as soon as humanly possible. It helps many if taken soon enough after injury.

The rest can be worked on as time progresses.
This is an emotionally destructive condition, we all have it, let's be nice to each other.

First, be sure to read the survival guide to get started.  Consider pentox (also helps w pain), low dose daily PDE5i and traction or VED. Peyronies Survival Guide - Information for New Members - Peyronies Society Forums

An update 2 1/2 years later. My Peyronie's has changed quite a lot since the initial diagnosis. The hourglassing and indentations have improved somewhat, or perhaps they just have become less noticeable - starting about late 2019 (six months after my first post), I relatively quickly started developing a dorsal bend which within six months stabilised at around 60 deg. The curve is quite close to the glans, and just in front of the bend the girth decreases quite a bit though my glans still gets as large as before when I have an erection. The curve is mostly upwards but also to the right. I still get healthy erections but take Viagra as advised by my doctor and when I'm very hard the bend can be as much as 80-90 deg. Intercourse is still possible but slightly awkward at times as I tend to slip out and my wife has had problems with vaginal dryness making my bend uncomfortable. This has improved lately for her so we can still have a good sex life, but she doesn't get as much pleasure from my penis as she did, but she makes up for that with sex toys and seems quite happy with the situation. I'm fairly resigned to the current state, but meeting with my urologist next week to discuss the pros and cons of surgery or any other options. Not really sure if surgery is worth the risk given intercourse is still possible, though I would love to be able to vary our sex life a bit (with my curve the only position that works is simple missionary). Lots of scare stories on these forum pages, and I also don't want to lose sensation (I'm not circumcised and it seems most surgery involves circumcision of some kind). Xiaflex isn't available in Europe any more, but there is some hope generic substitutes will become available next year when the patent expires, in which case I might try the injection route.

Thanks for the update. Were you doing anything beside supplements in the last two years for your Peyronie's? Was it just a gradual curve that's was forming in those two years?
34 yrs Old, Healthy very active
Possibly injured penis or took too much Cialis
Symptoms starting January-February 2021
First dent seen April 4, 2021, painful erections

I have tried traction devices (mostly the Penimaster) and VED, but not been able to do it regularly enough to have an impact - although I got the impression the curvature might have reduced somewhat after using the traction device more diligently. I had to take a break because of the discomfort of wearing it but now trying to use the VED and traction together (not at the same time!). The change in curvature seemed quite gradual, but most of it happened within eight months - in March 2019 I had virtually no curvature, and in Nov 2019 it was nearly 60 deg. Pictures from June 2020 look much the same as now, so there seems to be no further change beyond ~65 deg or so (unless I have a very strong erection, then it can be a bit more).
