I personally think there's a connection between DHT/testosterone and Peyronies so I was looking to see how many people here have both Peyronies and some form of Male Pattern Baldness (MPB). And possible connection to prostate problems as well.

31 yo, Hourglass Peyronies likely because of masturbation

Treatment: Vit E and fish oil (vitD+E), no more masturbation; good improvement so far, less hourglass both in flaccid and erect state, little to no pain during erection now

I'm balding since age 17, but my testosterone levels are low average. I do have pretty normal masculine features (tall, full beard, mpb, some muscle tone) so could be that I have relatively high DHT even though my test levels are only in the 400/500 ng/dl range.
Age: 25
Date of onset: 17
Symptoms: sharp pains, numbness, change in shape/size, hourglassing and discolaration from jelqing/VED usage as a teen. Diagnosed with a venous leak and possible scarring.
Treatments tried: cialis, pentox and VED didnt help

peyroniesurprise

That's interesting, looking at your signature 17 is the onset year for both mpb and peyronie. Did you/do you masturbate and watch porn?

I do think the two conditions have something in common but it's not about testosterone, at least not directly. Both mpb and Peyronie's have a strong auto-immune component.
This is an emotionally destructive condition, we all have it, let's be nice to each other.

Oh yes, I forgot about that. There's should be something autoimmune related to both.

As for testosterone, I don't think it's testosterone but mainly dht and something related to 5alpha reductase that converts test to dht

I do, but most men that age masturbate and watch porn, right? I injured myself with jelqing and I'm like 90 percent sure I wouldn't have peyronies if I never did jelqing.

Two questions:
1. Do you have Peyronies? If yes, what are your symptoms?
2. The link in your first post is to a free polls site that everyone can start his own poll. You are here to promote your poll?

James
Age 71, Peyronies from Jan 2009 following penis fracture during sex. Severe ED.
Lost 2" length and a lot of girth. Late start, still VED, Cialis & Pentox helped. Prostate surgery 2014.
Got amazing support on the forum

Well, masturbation is something that's more common these days, it wasn't common at all in the past. 70 or more years ago there was pretty much no erotic content (pics/vids/etc). Baldness definitely happens more now and starts at much younger ages that it used to and i think it's because of porn/masturbation.

1. Yes, it's described in my signature. I have a hourglassing, it started on september last year but it's possible it started sooner and I didn't realize it. I had pain up until december. Now it's stabilized and it seems to be healing, I haven't masturbated or had sex since december. The hourglassing point is exactly where I used to grip my penis with my fingers (i was dumb enough to use 2-3 fingers instead of the whole hand).

2. No, it's a poll site I found in this forum section, it had been used by someone else already in Was your penis not flexible before Peyronies disease?  thread.

Baldness due to porn/masturbation?  There is absolutely no evidence to support this...if you find any please let us know!

There are multiple reports from people on nofap that noticed shedding stopped and some even got regrowth when they stopped. And there's also severe shedding when you binge (masturbate multiple times per day or for a long time).

Do you have hair loss?

It makes sense to be connected since masturbation implies prostate/ejaculation and DHT is something essential for both prostate and hair loss.

No, totally ridiculous and no medical evidence...sorry...nofap website is not medical science...

Just because something is not proven yet does not make it "totally ridiculous". As I said, so far there is plenty of information about it from people that do nofap, there is a possible theoretical framework/connection (dht/prostate/propecia) and there's also the obvious fact that men now are balding way younger and much more aggressively than they did in previous generations, where being bald before 30/40s was almost unheard of. What happened to the latest generations? Widespread use and acceptance of erotica (porn/playboy etc) that fueled masturbation behavior, which was also much, much less common in the past.

What's extremely funny is that the preople on the biggest baldness forum (baldtruthtalk) are ALWAYS defensive if asked about their masturbation habits and they never want to reply or do polls about it.

Yes I do have that, so does my dad. I also can list like 10 papers on insulin receptors in men and how diabetes causes male pattern baldness (but you guys don't want to hear that haha).

At the end of the day, inflammation.

Well, yes, as you said, something related to auto-immune system (which triggers inflammation). But hair loss is also connected to that.

Can more people answer the survey please?
