Have been told by my Euro to try L-Citrilline for ED and for better workouts......I just purchased some powder and plan on taking 1500mg per day as instructed.
Is anyone taking it and can you give me some feedback.....
What is the best brand, Powder better than caps, dosage, what to expect, etc.............
Thanks.....

Just ensure it is a recognised brand, Citrulline Malate has benefits over just Citrulline if you do regular and somewhat intense exercise, otherwise plain Citrulline is just fine  :)
Citrulline supposedly has more reliable and immediate benefits over Arginine (Herpes risk with Arginine) and is for cardiovascular support  :)

Arginine does not cause Herps. Excess Arginine can make Herpes worse if you are already infected with the Virus:

"The Arginine Debate. Dr. Andrew Weil recommends that people infected with the herpes virus decrease the amount of arginine in their diet because consuming arginine may make outbreaks more likely. Weil also recommends those with herpes eat more foods containing the amino acid lysine.

I have never had any luck with amino acids concerning better erections. Seems to make mine worse. Worked well for muscles for me
5 Rounds of Xiaflex. Good results.

Paolo,
Thanks........I read that the Malate tends to rot your teeth as it being an acid.......I just went ahead and bought pure L-Citrilline powder........
Ill try that and maybe switch to a Malate later.....

Can I just say that IMO (B) vitamins are a vital, and often ignored issue, I speak personally of this. Having lost both my parents and suffering a stressful work life whilst also exercising I now, belatedly realise that I used up my entire reserves of B vitamins, why does  this matter? Because although I was eating well I was actually malnourished due to the loss of stomach acid, hence very poor food absorption = malnutrition.

B1,B2 and B3 should be taken at a far higher than RDA for these particularly, it takes Months to get your stores normalised. Of course if you are vegan then B12 supplementation becomes mandatory IMO.
So B vitamins should be taken after food with every meal.

For guys who don't like pills/capsules then Nutritional Yeast is very good, ensure it has B12 added. If you want to experiment short term try Red Bull with your main meal  :)

Guys, peyronie's stress was, along with the other issues mentioned the 'slippery' slope for me getting this crappy  condition.

Sorry to derail this thread.

Paloo, I am not against taking a B vitamin supplement but I am very skeptical of several things in your post.  First, none of us have reserves of B vitamins,  they are water-soluble and any excess is flushed from our system within 24 hours or less.

How do you know your levels were low and that you have malabsorption and malnutrition even though you eat healthily?

Brewers yeast does have lots of many B vitamins but it can be contraindicated for people with chron's disease, immune system issues, or diabetes.  It should also be supplemented with calcium.

Finally, Red Bull is not a product for someone who is pursuing a healthy diet or trying to cope with stress.  It is loaded with caffeine which can be addictive

Well fair enough, I can say that my GP was very ignorant when I was told to use PPI (proton pump inhibitors) for possible GERD, but they made me feel on deaths door and IMO put me on the road to Hypothyroidism  :-\
My GP thought I must be suffering with too much stomach acid, it was the complete reverse, which I eventually diagnosed myself lol.
Carbonated drinks can help if you feel/know you have low CO2 levels but they should not be over-consumed lol. 80mg caffeine in 250ml can of Red Bull is not 'loaded', and is equivalent to a Starbucks short latte, which has 75mg, you are also getting Taurine with the RB.

It could have been the extreme exercise routine I used for many Years that ruined my metabolism, do not exercise to excess lol.

I can without doubt say that after 6+ months of B supplementation I feel about 15 Years younger and have cleared any infection or immune suppression from stress and aforementioned exercise.

By the way most RDA (recommended daily allowance) for vitamins and supplements are a 'complete' joke.

My takeaway from this is always ask for a second opinion from so called medical experts, heck some Doctors no little on nutritional deficiencies.
Sorry for again derailing original thread.

Does anyone here that is currently taking L-citrulline have a preference of powder or cupsule versions? Also, I read on Web-MD that it's not recommended to take Cialis,Levitra, etc., while taking L-citrulline because it may cause dangerously low blood pressure.

I used to take a few brands but mostly GNC L-Citruline/Arginine capsules that combined the two.  While I got an effect with it I never noticed one being any better than another or L-citrulline being better than L-Arginine.

You are correct also with your warning.  They both dilate blood vessels thus lowering blood pressure.  My normal blood pressure ranges from 110-120/70  which is on the low end of normal and I never had an issue with combining them but I was always aware of the possibility.  I never actually took my blood pressure after taking a dose.

PS: I know a man well who took a 100mg Viagra.  After sex, his wife heard him leave the master bathroom but he did not round the corner to the bedroom.  She found him where he fainted on the floor.  He was fine but just the Viagra made him light-headed.
