Combining Traction Devices: Possible Benefit?

I've had Peyronies for approx. 13 months now, due to poor advice from doctors I have only begun oral therapy this past month (2.5 mg cialis, 400 mg pentox 2-3 times daily, L-Arginine and Vitamin E 2x daily) and have ordered a Penimaster Pro which I am currently waiting for to arrive. Due to changes that have occured in the past month I believe I am still in the active stage, I have no curvature but am experiencing significant narrowing on both sides and shortening from the tip of my penis to about halfway down by shaft. I am very concerned about maintaining what size I have left and regaining any lost dimensions that I can. The Penimaster Pro is designed to be worn for multiple hours each day for months on end to achieve any result, but the Restorex claims to have similar effects for only an hour a day. Is there anybody who has experience or knowledge about combining traction therapy using both devices e.g. using the Restorex for 30 min. to 1 hour daily and than using another traction device for another 1 - 3 hours daily? Is there any benefit theoretically, anecdotally or scientifically, to using both? Is there any risk to using both?

I personally would not use both. The combination of high tension with short duration and low tension with long duration could mean that whatever rest is needed between high tension sessions is no longer sufficient.

Hi Skunkworks,

That makes sense, overuse of the area likely would do more harm then help. As someone who has been on these forums for some time, is the general consensus here that one of these devices appears to be more effective than the other for most people? I have been doing my best to make my way through the information on the forums but it is a lot of take in all at once. I do not mind incurring additional cost at this point if it means additional benefit, but am wary of investing time in a product that claims to do as much or more than others at a fraction of the time if it is not providing as much in the long run.

I think using PMP with a strap during the day and restorex at homebwould safely increase the traction time.  Most studies show increased time has better results.  Always back off if any pain.

Skunkworks: If one was used during weekdays and one during the week to make it more flexible to schedule, do you think the same issue would exist? Would moving between high and low tractions on different days carry that same risk?

TonySa: Perhaps than one doing one 30 min. session with the Restorex after a day of using the PMP would even out to increased time without decreasing needed rest and healing?

It's impossible to say if it will be safe or not. Restorex is very new and uses much higher tension than traditional traction devices, we have very little data on it. The downtime between high tension traction sessions could be vital to results. We do not know.

More is better with low tension traction, but to assume the same is true for high tension traction or combination high/low tension? That could be a very risky assumption to make.

Impossible to say, traditional traction devices have worked for a lot of people. Restorex has worked for some people who have reported that here but it is too new to have lots of reports. There is A LOT more published data on traditional devices than Restorex because of how new it is.

Your body will be your best guide once you try traction w one or two devices.  Try what seems sensible to you and go from there.
