Thanks for getting back to me, Curved. By the sounds of it you've been through hell as well! Delighted that you are making good progress like you describe. The bending your penis in the opposite direction of the curve while inflated is an interesting concept. Can't say I've never wondered about it and if your surgeon recommended it to improve your curvature then it makes sense to try it. 90 seconds you say? Might give that a gentle try.

I don't know if you've read my own journal at all but I've really turned a corner yesterday and today in terms of me being inflated for a long time with minimal pain. The ironic thing today is that whilst I was inflated for 4 hours this morning, I had little if any pain. In fact, the longer I stayed inflated, the less the pain got. Now, however, my penis is aching and I can't stand up for any length of time without lots of pain in the penis. It feels like it's going to explode! I wonder if that is simply a reaction to having a 4 hour erection - real or prosthetic?

Anyways, great to chat with you, Curved.

Take care and good luck,

Roddy

Roddy-  2 quick thoughts.  First on the modeling.  I do recommend as you mention to take it easy on the modeling.  My Dr wanted me to be somewhat aggressive but without sign off from your doc I would take it slow and gently bend in opposite direction and see how it feels.  In regards to the pain after the 4 hour inflation I too would have some aching after a particularly long inflation... for me the inflation time would have been 45 min or so.  I would get used the continual stretch but after deflation did have an ache for a bit.  Almost 3 months post surgery and I do not have that anymore although as I mentioned earlier a bit sore after intercourse but that goes away pretty quickly.

Also I read about your dent due to the collapsed graft.  I had pretty extreme hourglassing/narrowing in my shaft due to the Peyronies Disease.  While not back to normal the implant did help quite a bit will filling out that narrowing.  I am not perfectly uniform in girth from base to glans but the implant and helped quit a bit so hopefully you will experience that as well.

All the best.

Roger all that.

Curved - to compare with you almost 12 weeks in, what is your daily routine in terms of inflating/deflating?

Hey Guys- hope everyone is doing as well as they can under their individual circumstances.  Not much new to report.  I am just past 12 weeks post implant and remain at 13.5 cm in length and approx 20 degree upwards.  I originally thought that I would try and get that 20 degree bend to perfectly straight but am not really that worried about anymore.  My wife insists she prefers it just the way it is.  I know it will straighten out with more time but I am not as focused on getting in inflations 2x/day.  Currently I try and stretch 1x day for 30 min but we are getting back to a much more normal (pre Peyronies Disease) sex routine so on days where we are having sex I don't worry about inflating.

Some others have said that at 3 months you don't notice that you have an implant.  I am not sure I would go that far but I will say that I don't go every second of the day worried about my penis and sex, etc like I did prior to implant.  I do occasionally worry about whether or not I am too noticeable with a penis that hangs at about 4 o'clock and seems to stick out a bit.  I solve for this by wearing boxer briefs and keep my penis in the upright position.  For me the upright position is just more comfortable that letting it hang down.  The only time it becomes any issue is if I am wearing sweat pants with loose underwear so that it will hang at 4 o"clock and protrude a bit.

I am back to a normal daily routine (have been for several weeks) which includes hitting the gym and golf course and have no limitations in any activity. Life as it relates to my penis continues to get better.  Two thoughts for others to consider:

1- I mentioned in an earlier post about some worry about awkwardness of pumping during foreplay and how it would take 15 pumps or so to get fully inflated.  Follow Hawk's advice and simply pump a bit in the bathroom prior to going to bed (or wherever) and it only takes a few more pumps to "top off" and can do that very discreetly in just a few seconds during foreplay

2- I did not have ED prior to implant so I still have glans engorgement naturally post implant.  I have started taking a generic viagra on days we have sex and have found that it greatly helps fullness of the shaft.  I had significant distal narrowing from Peyronies Disease and the implant helped quite a bit but the viagra really helps round it out and gives it a fuller feel and apperance.

All I can say is that life is getting better and the painful (physical and more importantly psychological) Peyronies Disease days seem to be behind me.  Best to all and I know I owe some pictures... everytime I tell my wife I need her to help with pictures I inflate and we end up getting side tracked!!  Not a bad thing but I will follow through with that commitment.

Curved, great journal entry!!!!!!!
I can see that I will be right there at about 3 months too.
Same with the hang thing
Same with "a few pumps" prior to
Same with the routine
I still have little feeling on the underside of my shaft, but the sides top and end are working. Sometimes it requires just a little harder work on my end.
I am very happy for you and thanks so much for sharing.
I still have to post some after pics to in my journal, so perhaps your courage will give me the same.
By the way, interesting about the Viagra, I tried using one day, and it delayed my ejaculation too much, but I may try a lower dose sometime.
Looking forward to you staying in touch,

Stepone-- thanks for the feedback.  I too have some sensitivity on the underside .... close to wear the incision was.  I think this will continue to get better as it is much less sensitive today than it was 2 months ago and 1 month ago.  I generally feel it when puling up my underwear or pants and if the clothes rub against the sensitive area. Wonder if others have had that sensitivity as well and if it passed with time.

I had loss of sensitivity which continued to improve over 9 mos (but I also had excision and grafting).  I love the part you went to take pics and got distracted!

Hi Curved. Thanks for posting your 12 week update. Delighted that your progress is as good as you report. I laughed at your comment about how you no longer think about your penis every moment of the day - at only 4 weeks in my thoughts never stray from my dick for more than 5 minutes. Good to know it becomes less of an issue as time passes.

I like that you're back having a normal life again. Getting to the gym and playing golf. How do you find your reservoir? Does it not feel as though it will burst or empty when you bend over or put any kind of pressure on it? Mine does - even tho I know it won't, I kinda feel that it could. Still just feels a bit alien but it's early days.

I only tried the viagra once, about 2 years ago, felt as tho my dick was gonna explode and would be a good feeling with a well shaped penis - just that mine was in some mess at the time. Like you,  I'd like to try it again tho and see the effect it would have on my glans.

Great progress you and Stepone. And with both of you being 3 months in, you have a lot of similar experiences. Keep us all up to date please.

The support and encouragement on this board is tremendous....thanks to all for the positive feedback.  Roddy- I have had zero issues with my reservoir while playing golf or any other physical activity.  Early on (weeks 5-7 post implant) when I went to the gym I could feel the bulb in my scrotum when sitting down  on certain exercises like a lat pulldown or seated incline press.  I just took extra care, did not lift heavy and inched my way closer to the edge of the seat so as to not put too much pressure on the bulb while exercising.  For the last couple of weeks I haven't even noticed the bulb or any other part of the implant when exercising except for the fact that my penis sticks out a bit more than before which, again, I solve for with compression type boxer briefs. Best to all
