Gentlemen,

Still considering my options for the next step. Wanted to ask - has anyone on the board used Dr. Levine in Chicago for an excision/grafting procedure? If so, please post your appraisal and results.

Thanks,
Frank

Hello

I can't answer your question, but I have read a lot about dr Levine and he is probably in the Top3 in the world of the best surgeons. I know his statistics and they are about +90% if we are speaking about the success rate.

But I am interested why not dr Joel Gelman from Orange County? In my knowledge he has the best statistics in the world, because:
-he has never had a patient who needs further surgery
-he has never had a patient who suffered for significant reccurent curvature after the surgery
-and generally, he is the man!

I am not an advocate of dr Gelman, but here's the facts which maybe are not known in general and may be helpful for the other members. These were the most important facts for me in choice of the surgeon for my re-do.

As you probably know, there is daved2 who had failed 2 surgeries with Kuehhas (grafting too, as I know) and he is happy now after third operation with dr Gelman.

Are you sure Gelman performs grafting surgery? I thought he was focused on plication and not grafting.

Mst - who did your first surgery? I didn't realize this was a re-do for you.

Some butcher in Poland - you probably don't know the name ;)

I think he performs grafting too - just look out here: https://www.centerforreconstructiveurology.org/peyronies-disease/surgery-graft/ (from his website)

Thanks MST. I'll look into that. I thought he did plication only.

SteveK - Glad to hear that is your experience thus far. Was this the first surgery for you, or is this a "fix" for a previous failed surgery?

Hello Frank,
Been offline for a while. First and only surgery here. 5 months out and the experience is good. Traction makes a difference and I'm trying to do it more than three hours a day. How are you?
