Best to commit to at least 2 weeks to two months of traction and/or VED or even longer until all lost length regained:

Here is one randomized control study that showed length improve by of VED daily for a month over those without VED. Also, made surgery less difficult.
VED for10-15 mIn/day with .44cm gain in length

Another article summarizes another study that showed increase in 1.5 cm length preceding implant following daily traction of 2-4 hours for 2-4 months

PxD 2 yrs 9/16.  Failed all treatment. 9/11/18: excision, grafting & implant Dr Karpman MtnView Ca, AMS CX 18cm + 3-1cm RTEs.
Pump failed.  2/11/20 Dr Karpman installed Titan 22cm +1cm RTE.

Hey Tony,

Very good info, thanks a lot!!

And congratulations for your promotion  ;) ;D
- 35 yo, Peyronies Disease with chronic pain, general hourglassing with girth and length loss since 09/01/17.
- Pain almost cured with Hirudoid cream and diet/lifestyle changes (see my topics on this); deformity still here, but partly reduced with traction + VED.

I think it would be amazing if we could somehow motivate members to pursue this therapy if they are going for implant to see if they do get palpable results...

I will add to this.  Time is important.  I went from 9" hard to 5" after the prostatectomy. Flaccid it was so short I would have to hold my balls to the side to keep from peeing all over my balls. When my wife saw it the first time after surgery, her comment was "I never knew it could be so short".  About 80 days after surgery, I saw Dr. Steven Brandes about the E.D.  He threw a fit that Dr. Kibel had not put me on any restorative therapy starting 2 weeks after the prostatectomy. Put me on Vitamin E, Pentoxiphilline, Cialis and prescribed a vacuum pump. He said if you do not start the therapy withing 90 days of surgery you will loose significant size and most cannot be regained. Some but not all.  It took me 5 years to get it to 7.25", where I am now. 9" nor the girth that was with it will never be back after 9 years of scar tissue growing.  As with most problems, the sooner you tackle them, the less issue they are. The sad fact is there are doctors like Kibel that don't give a crap and do not tell you about these therapies. That is one of several complaints about Kibel I have so don't say him not mentioning this is no reason to say he does not give a crap. He's a jerk as far as I am concerned.

I can say that before my fall I was 7 inches hard. In june I was down to 5.5 inches hard with a curve. I started traction first and got back to 6 inches stretched. Bought a ved and added that to my regime. I am doing alternate days. I know that is not recommended but I cannot do the ved daily so rotate. I am now stretched at over 6. And in the ved at 6.5. On 100 mg of sildenafil I can get a semi and measure at 6. So I can say it is helping me. I plan on continuing the traction, ved, vit e, vit e oil, pentox, etc. till I get the next steps sorted out. I do feel like the scar plaque is longer. It is still there but longer and narrower. It is not going anywhere. I also see the dent is not as pronounced. The curve might also  be a little better but I am just happy to get more length back. I did take some advice and took pictures for my own reference. My measurements are from the base of traction device to the tip. And from bottom of ved against my belly to my tip in the tube. So both are hard press against my belly. Not sure how it would translate to a titan implant size. I feel like it helped me.

It is absolutely standard advice to do all you can to regain/preserve size and traction and/or VED is the way to do that.  I always used a VED just before and just after traction to male sure I had good fresh blood flow since the constriction of the traction strap.  It just seems logical to be that if you are stimulating any growth or healthy change, you need some blood flow.

As Hawk says, blood flow is crucial and reduced blood flow will trigger scar tissue formation. After my prostatectomy, Dr. Kibel asks how my erections are. I say there are none. He says they will come back.  I tell him the left side of my penis is blue as well as 1/2 the glans all the time. He says it is impossible. We both tell him it is. He still says it is impossible, then claims he has to leave the room for a minute but he never comes back. (standard for him except the one time we drove 4 hours through the snow to see him and were the only patient that showed up. Despite hearing him talking in the hall, he never came in the exam room so we left after an hour and 1/2).  The left side is where I have the scaring and curve now. Only after starting the therapy that banjo playing Dr. Brandes started me on, did the color return to pink like the right side. Cheers boys.

I will say from my experience that starting VED late will help very little.
Measurements are in cm.
Within 3 years from the Peyronies onset I got to 11.5 cm from the 18 I had, half of the girth, I was not aware of any treatment.
Started VED, Pentox and low dose Cialis, (after I found the forum) got to 13 cm and gained back some girth in 3 months. VED was the main factor in the gains.
I am continuing VED in the last almost 7 years, no additional gain. Still continuing VED to keep healthy penis (as can be with Peyronies and ED).
Stopped VED (in the past) for 2 months, started shrinking again.

Age 71, Peyronies from Jan 2009 following penis fracture during sex. Severe ED.
Lost 2" length and a lot of girth. Late start, still VED, Cialis & Pentox helped. Prostate surgery 2014.
