Has any one had any experience with the length difference with a full pumped ved and a full pumped implant is the much of a difference?

Hi Floppy, A full pumped penis of a healthy functional male in a VED is larger than his erection.  Let's face it, you can break a blood vessel in a VED.  You can make the glans so tight it looks dimpled from pressure. So of course, any honest surgeon will tell you straight up that an implant will NOT be like your penis in a VED under vacuum.

I took meticulous measurements a few days prior to my surgery by Dr. Eid  Here are the stats:

Extreme BPSFL 7 1/8"
Extreme Pump in a VED still under vacuum 7" BPEL
Immediately out of a VED with a band in place 6 1/2" BPEL
Dr. Eid measured me SFL and with injection and promised me " 6 1/4" maybe a little more"

Post op with a Titan implanted 10 weeks ago I am 6 5/8" Keep in mind I had total Erectile Dysfunction and my glans does not really engorge with just an implant.  If it did I would get a slight bit more.

Now that I have an implant, I would gladly give up a full inch off of my existing implant rather than go back.  I might give up 2".  A working dick of any size beats a non-working dick of any size.

PS: My BPEL 1 year out is slightly over 7", every bit as long as in a VED and 1/2" longer than after removing a VED with a band on Pre-op.  Keep in mind that those gains are still less than my  natural length before Peyronies Disease and ED.

6 days and counting until your implant Floppy.    You will have to change your name to Swordsman  ;)   Relax, you are in great hands.

PLEASE keep a journal here where it will never get buried under the repetitive recent post and where it can help others for many years to come.

;) ;) ;) EXACTLY  ;) ;) ;)

I have been saying that for two years and then I get accused of being insensitive to the feelings of the elephant man who lost an inch.  When I started all this crap, all I had was an inch... sorry, hard to feel sorry for someone with a 6" rock hard dong. ???

You are right in your statement. But there is a very important thing you are missing here which is: guys you are 7 and are now 5 are allowed to be sad and depressed about the lost size they had as well. In the same way folks who where 5 and are now 4 or 3 because of a botched implant. If they should cope better because they are still within a reasonable size? Sure. But it's still a valid concern.

My biggest gripe with all this is that there are ways for a person to regain, or at least to try to, regain it's size back there is no focus on telling guys that had their implants botched that. Meanwhile they loose size and atrophy because of it, only to later on have a revision and have a smaller implant installed that they could of had in the first place.

This very same thing happened to you. Why didn't Dr Brock insert a two piece malleable on you in between revisions? Why didn't he recommend you do vacuum therapy in between your revision surgery so you didn't loose size like you did? Going from an 18mm to a 15mm?

Why didn't he advise you to do traction therapy as of now even with the implant in hopes of regaining that very size. Back?

Good morning pfract;
Thanks for the questions.  When I went into septic shock, Dr. Brock's primary goal was preventing my death, which, from what I understand, was not to far away.  My vital signs had already started to show signs of severe shock.  I asked him about "space savers" and he said that it was too risky and it would be a bad idea to introduce any other foreign objects into the space.  While at FT, I was asked this question so, when I interviewed the 4 surgeons, I told them the scenario and asked them and all 3 (I already knew what Dr. Brock said) said that they would not even consider putting a space saver in, it was too risky, especially considering I was already fighting a very serious infection.  As for VED Therapy, he did recommend it and I am doing it.  As for traction, Dr Brock recommended either VED or traction but he felt that given my activity level, my back injury and the history of the surgery in my pelvic region, that VED would be better for me, which of course he was very correct.  I agree that a guy that loses 2 inches are entitled to be sad... who wouldn't be but there are other things to consider... the guy that was 7" and lost 2 inches, still has 5" he can enter his partner with, and that's not nothing.  If you were only 4" and lose 2".... my god, poor guy.  Even with what I have, my book of 101 positions is not really all that relevant because with a lot of them, I am not long enough to get it.  My wife doesn't really like positions where we are not close.  For example, if we spoon, I am not big enough to penetrate and I am facing away from her.  Same as the reverse cowboy... she loves the regular cowboy but not the reverse because she is facing away.  Even dog style she just barely tolerated.  As for size, in 4 months it will have been 2 years since implant.  I have NEVER been as big - 5.5" long and 6 1/8 in girth.  All of my problems started at a very young age so I have no idea if I was suppose to be hung like a horse or Mr. Needle Dick... I am just very happy with what I have and so is my wife. ;)

I agree that any doctor would likely be hesitant to insert a foreign object into a patient going into septic shock.  Local infection is one thing but septic shock is quite another.  A dead man with a perfectly functioning penis might be some women's idea of an improvement but I'll pass on that ;)

In 1991, i took my wife into emergency with a kidney stone. It took 5 years in court to get her records to find out what happened (so they could be past the 3 year statute of limitations).  The nurse had written across the doctors orders for antibiotic before surgery that she already had them in the doctors office the day before. She had never seen a doctor the day before nor been in his office. Surgery on an infected kidney with no antibiotics.  She went into septic shock within 3 hours. When I finally saw the doctor that night and asked what was going on because I was supposed to take her home at 10 that morning, he replied they were too busy trying to save her, go home and make funeral arrangements. This was my first experience with septic shock. It can go down hill very very fast.  Patients often do not feel bad and do not know anything is wrong if they do not have any external signs of infection. Dropping blood pressure and rising pulse rate are a sign that it is happening even if there is no temperature rise.  Signs of shock are very much the same as septic shock. B.P.  in the 20's and 30's  are not uncommon and pulse rates above 120.   Septic shock can shut down organs and damage them permanently, the toxins from the infection can be very destructive body wise, brain swelling. Treatment to support blood pressure, very strong antibiotics, blood transfusions to dilute the toxins and steroids to try to control swelling and reactions are common treatments.  For those on this forum who are not familiar with the story, the blood transfusions were where our H.I.V. came from.  In 1991, the U.S. government was still refusing to approve the newer test for blood to screen for it with the Reagan mindset that it was only a gay issue. There have been a couple movies made about this.  If you suspect your are getting an infection and your urologist tells you to come see him in 2 weeks, go to the emergency room. Septic shock is a case where the infection has spread into your blood. At that point it is everywhere. Don't let it go that far because the death rate for septic shock is very high. Easily 60% still die. Larry, I am glad you made it. Now quit going to crazy wack job doctors.

Ali, thanks for sharing that. I've heard of septic shock, but didn't know much about it.

I noticed a small difference in length but, mostly girth.
