Currently 36 years old.  Physically fit, no other health problems, though I do believe I have generally poor circulation because my hands and feet are nearly always ice-cold.

Age at onset:  34.

First Symptom - Developed severe pain in the left side of my penis when erect in spring of 2008.

Due to some major distractions in my personal and professional life occupying most of my time, I ignored the problem for approximately 18 months.  The pain was subsiding slowly on its own and I did not initially notice any deformity.  I researched penile injuries a little bit on the net, but did not find anything that seemed to apply to my situation.  I stupidly assumed that it would resolve on its own.

Decided to get serious about seeking treatment after a flare up in August that brought back all of the original pain. Deformity was now also clearly visible (a severe dent on the left side of my penis extending about 1" beneath the glans, and a resulting curvature of approximately 25")

Saw a urologist last month (Nov 2009) who told me that although he could not detect a plaque on physical examination, I almost certainly had Peyronie's disease.  Further told me that there was nothing that could be done except surgery, and my case was not severe enough to merit that.

Started researching online again, now that I knew what I was looking for, and discovered this forum.  All I can say is God bless the internet, and the founders of this forum.  I have been reading nonstop for a few days, and have initiated to following plan of action based on my research here:

1)  Professional help from a specialist. Made an appointment with Dr. Levine in Chicago.  This will be a long trip for me, and it will be challenging to take the time away from work, but having ignored this for too long, I want to make up for lost time, and he seems to be highly regarded in this community.  This appointment is in a couple of months due to his very full schedule.

2)  Oral medication/supplementation.  Purchased L-Arginine.  I am also going to call my original uro back this week to educate him a little with regard to what I have learned on this forum, and to see if he will give me perscriptions in the meantime for Pentoxifylline and either Viagra or Cialis.

3)  Exercise/physical therapy.  Purchased the 3 cylinder VED from Fitzz recommended elsewhere on this site.  I expect delivery sometime next week and will begin following the protocol documented in that forum.

I am very grateful to have found this forum.  I will post my results as I have any to report, and would welcome any feedback regarding my situation and plan of attack from other members of this board.
