Title: Stem cell therapy
Post by: Vandelay on May 16, 2018, 10:38:30 AM
Hi. I'm a 35 year old guy. I have struggled with ED all my life. I've lived in total celibacy for the last seven years. I think I have paraphimosis. Maybe the ED could be related to that. I also have low sensitivity in my penis. Anyway, I want to try stem cell therapy, but I need it as cheap as possible as I really don't have a lot of money. I found this plastic surgeon in Ecuador who does stem cell  therapy for ED. It takes 4-5 hours. His name is Roberto Blum. According to an article I found he also does penile enlargement with stem cells and that treatment costs from $2000-$5000. I assume the price for ED treatment may be the same. Does anyone know anything about him or have any advice about where I can find the cheapest stem cell therapy?

Smells like a scam. Remember that "stem cells" is a label that can mean anything.

Stem Cell Therapy (SCT) is the treatment of various disorders, non-serious to life threatening, by using stem cells. These stem cells can be procured from a lot of different sources and used to potentially treat more than 80 disorders, including neuromuscular and degenerative disorders.

Any opinions on Stem Cell Therapy 4 Me in Brno, Czech Republic? I'm thinking about spending virtually all the money that I've got on stem cell therapy for ED and I've got a vacation coming up, but I don't know which clinic to go for. Would be greatful for any opinions. Is the length of the treatment a good indicator of the quality?

Hi,

I am from Brno. However, I have never heard of that clinic till today. I want to book an appointment and ask a few questions.

Thanks

Sct4me is the same as Cellthera. Why they have two different names and two websites I don't know.

Don't think I'd spend all the money I have on an experimental treatment.  What other options are you considering?

The only other option is a penile implant. However I expect that I will lose the little sensitivity that I have left in my penis in not that many years. And then what good is an erection? My hope is that stem cell therapy can also restore some of the sensitivity. I know it's a long shot, but what if it actually works and I'm throwing my life away by not even trying? Is the risk of being fooled and losing money a good reason not to try a potentially "life saving" treatment?

Vandelay, sounds like a solid well thought out decision for you.  Please keep us posted, someone has to be the early adopter-thanks for your courage! tony

Tsanchez12369, I haven't made any decision at all. That's why I'm asking for opinions here and I appreciate all the responses. Courageous I'm most certainly not.

I've looked at the results from the stem cell trial at Odense University Hospital again. They were dismal. So I guess I won't be having any stem cell treatment. It would just be a waste of money.

Ehy bro, can you kindly provide a link about the stem cell study you're talking about? I read that SC clinical trials in Denmark gave encouraging results.

Vandelay, that is exactly the study i was talking about. Those are not disappointing results! You have to consider that Radical Prostatectomy leaves the patient totally impotent up to 85-90% of the cases ( https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5005072/ ) . So, if you consider that with a single injections many of them were able to have a sexual intercourse without any viagra, cialis or Injection, or with just a little "help", i think that this is a GREAT result and scientists think that too.

Please note that many people that underwent stem cells injections had more than one injection; JS1991 is a member of the forum which told us that if you pay, the clinic can keep your stem cells and send them to you for others injections.. So maybe with 1, 2 or more injections you can fully recover or, at least, avoid the implant.

I would strongly consider this way and, when i'll have money, i'll try it for sure.

There was NO improvement in erectile function in the group of incontinent men or among men with erectile dysfunction prior to radical prostatectomy.

I read that part. But we don't know the starting situations of all the men of the study. They could have fibrosis due to fhe previous erectile dysfunction, or weak heart and consequently poor blood flow, or hormone issues. Being totally impotent for much time can bring to some issues which are really hard to reverse. That's why i still consider the stem cell treatment a good promise for the future.
Obviously everyone is totally free to chose the treatment that thinks to be the best.
Let us know what you'll try next, im really interested in your situation and in your tries to fix the ED.

A huge hug, bro.

Stem cells are seemingly being used to reverse fibrosis.

Would be the first of its kind to do such a thing. This would heal a lot of problems in the penis trust me

Don't get your hopes up. 300 years later the best non surgical treatment is xiaflex(only 18% better than a saline shot) and a possible side effect of it is a penile fracture(yikes). There's barely any money that goes into researching this disease. Fibrosis in general is extremely hard to reverse, penile fibrosis I suspect much more difficult. I doubt we see a "cure" in this lifetime besides a penile implant.

maybe in 20 years, even though covid may speed the thing up

@lostandsad

How can you say that about xiaflex when it is one of the most effective drugs right now to treat this condition? Yes, it does come with it's own set of side effects but the Dr's experience with it is crucial and the incidence of penile fracture is low.

LostandSad - let's make sure we are putting out sound information rather than setting education back with misinformation.

A very recent statement from Dr. Trost --> "Our own outcomes with Xiaflex have improved from 20-30% improvement (median) when we first started to 59% when we most recently analyzed a few weeks back.  So, it's largely a technical issue with administration / protocol compared to delivery system."
