Title: VED effectiveness years later?
Post by: selftreat on April 19, 2017, 07:56:41 PM
Sorry if this has been asked already, I did search.

Just wondering, if somebodies peyronies has been stabilized without pain for nearly three years, is it too late for the VED to be effective at straightening and undeforming the penis?

I read here that its best to start straight away and I think I might have seen that mentioned in a study posted here somewhere too.

So I'm wondering would it be too late to start three/four years later or can you still achieve significant results?

selftreat:

Suggest that you send a PM (private message) to one of the moderators on the main forum about this subject.

He had the same situation that you have with starting later with therapy for Peyronies Disease symptoms. He can help you with most any question that you might have, etc.

Regards, Old Man

I will say from my own experience:
Lost 6.5 cm in length (18 to 11.5 cm) and 1/2 of the girth in 3 years without treatment.
VED, Pentox and low dose Cialis bring me to 13 cm and got back some girth, I am now 60% of the original and not 50%. Also my ED improved, but not much.
Regarding significant results, I don't know what significant results mean to you. For me is significant.

James thank you for replying.

How long of using the VED did it take you to get those results?

Also, was your Peyronies Disease stable for a while at this point or still progressing?

(Really grateful for the replies guys).

I started treatment 3 years after the onset as I posted before so theoretically I was in the chronic stage.
Not really in my case as flareups continued until 48 months.

I had results after some 2 months.
But a year ago stopped VED and within 13 months got down to 12 cm.
Using VED now for one month I am back to 12.5 cm.
Will never stop VED, minimum 3 times a week

Note to all members using VED therapy:

From time to time, I see posts and get PMS about having to use the VED therapy FOR LIFE! The answer to this question is: Yes and/or no!! It is a matter of wanting to some therapy to help with their Peyronies Disease problems or NOT!

I have used my VED for over 20 years now. It took about one year of that time to get rid of my Peyronies Disease problems. To date: they have not come back.

HOWEVER, I STILL USE MY VED ONCE OR TWICE A WEEK JUST FOR MAINTENANCE OF HAVING GOTTEN RID OF MY SYMPTOMS. IT HAS WORKED GREAT FOR THE PAST 20 YEARS OR SO!

Now to give my best thought out advice:  I strongly suggest that all users of the VED therapy that have seen success for their symptoms as well as those not seeing success to continue the therapy on some sort of schedule. The outlook for getting at least a more healthy penis is well worth the 15 or so minutes each week time it takes to do the pumping session!! This will continue to provide oxygenated blood flow into ones most prized possession = their PENIS!

Thanks guys. Even though my peyronies is years stabilized now i'm sure it wouldn't hurt to give it a try, long as I'm careful.

If VED straightens your penis presumably by causing micro tears in the scar tissue that heal in a better alignment, then how come VED is still required for maintenance? A stretched ear lobe etc does not need maintenance like you are suggesting so I'm confused as to why the maintenance is required. - Any thoughts appreciated.

Inquisitive

You ever read in one of my posts or Old Man posts that:
Quote...VED straightens your penis presumably by causing micro tears in the scar tissue that heal in a better alignment...
??? Quote when I or Old Man wrote that!!!
Regarding
Quote...how come VED is still required for maintenance?
VED requires as maintenance because it provides healthy blood flow to the penis and good oxygenation.
Also not letting the penis to continue shrinking.
QuoteA stretched ear lobe etc does not need maintenance
Right!!! It is also completely different and not complex tissue as the penis. You may want to learn the anatomy of both, don't base yourself on my poor knowledge only. :(

I was not trying to be critical or quote anyone. All I'm trying to do is to understand what VED does.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but I see that there are two mechanisms happening during VED sessions:
1 Increased blood flow and oxygenation for penis health.

   2 Removing hourglass and bending

Old Man has PM'ed me saying that on-going use of VED is for option 1 - maintaining health and length. This I totally understand especially for those with ED.

My interest is in option 2 where VED helps with hourglass and bending. - what is the mechanism for straightening if this is not stretching the scar tissue - presumably by causing micro tears so that it heals in a better shape? Therefore once healed then there should no longer be a requirement for VED. This is why I asked the question about on-going use of VED

Hope that clarifies my questions / concern.

I had 3 hourglasses that were corrected by VED, Pentox, low dose Cialis. I think mainly VED, but I am not sure 100%.
I had no plaques in the place of the hourglasses that my treatment eliminated them.
Regarding:
Quote...what is the mechanism for straightening...
Have no idea, the treatment didn't straiten my penis :(
Have to ask a leading Peyronies specialist that prescribe VED.

Thanks James
Do you still use VED or is this now permanently fixed?
- you may just use for increased blood flow/health rather than keeping the hourglass under control.

Keen to know which

I am still using VED 4 or 5 times a week.
I stopped for 13 months and the result was shrinking of 1 cm, down to 12 cm.
The hourglasses didn't come back.
After 5 weeks VED I am back on 13 cm

Thanks James - hourglass being stable is really reassuring.
