Title: Link between ED Drugs and Peyronies Disease
Post by: ka1142 on February 01, 2018, 11:29:59 PM
Hi everyone:Has anyone read the articles on the link between ED drugs and Peyronies Disease. Some claim it puts to much strain on the penis from stretching it to much. Rats that were given viagra had damage to the penis. some think its just that older men are having sex more and are injuring themselves without a full erection. Anybody have any input on this or have heard from a specialist on this.

I haven't but I'm going to. I've actually considered the link myself. My Urologist said that Cialis May be more effective than Pentox as a treatment. Coincidently I developed Peyronies Disease after taking Cialis for the first time. Not right after the first dose, to be clear.
The connection between ED and Peyronies Disease is interesting, and in my laymen understanding doesn't make a lot of sense. How blood flow can associate with a scar, in terms of an erection is where I have doubts, or interests.
The nature of ED and Peyronies Disease's relation would make a study problematic I would think. ED seems to be a likely initial symptom of Peyronies Disease, even before a scar is noticed or present. Therefore a ED treatment could easily be mistaken for a cause. And one could presume if an ED drug caused a scar, that the process would continue, and continued use would cause more scarring. Which doesn't seem likely.

Interestingly I think the link is Peyronies and men waiting too long to start using ED drugs. In my case I could get erections but as I got older they were not as firm. And I refused to believe I was experiencing ED. So a weaker erection lends itself for damage more easily.
