Title: Just ordered the RestoreX
Post by: thinkpositive on March 28, 2018, 05:09:19 AM
I probably won't have it for a few weeks, but will keep you guys posted with my progress.. will do my best to document for future benefit of others.

Lucky I make my own schedule, so stretching in the morning and after work should be easy..

Good luck with your stretching, sure you will get a good result, just takes time.

wow, kudos for going all in attacking this, guess you are being a Guinea pig for this new device, this device is still awaiting FDA approval and I hope it genuinely helps, look forward to honest reviews as it is quite an expensive commitment.

Thanks man, yea... there is a 10-50% chance this will heal on its own... If I can add 20% to that with supplements, stretching, etc... i'm all in

The other devices are not FDA approved and this one seems way superior to them in terms of design and use.  I'm happy to wear it for 60 (or whatever time is required) minutes in the morning and 60 minutes in the afternoon or evening before bed.

My bend just appeared a week ago, so i'm hopeful that I can stop this thing in its tracks and be more functional in 6 months.

I need to find out from those who are in the study, did they get instructed to use heat or cold in their daily routine?

I've been using it since October. I'm not in the trial, but am a patient at the clinic for xiaflex. I've had great results. I was not instructed on using heat or ice. But, that's a good question. Just make sure you set it up as the instructions call for. I wear it for 30 mins per session, with a minimum of 30 mins between sessions. There's a few others on here using it as well. I hope you see great results as well.

In the study they do not wish to mix in other treatment to muddy the interpretation...such as heat.  Personally, I try to do heat between am and pm sessions.

That makes sense. Due to xiaflex, I'm not a part of that study. However, xiaflex alone doesn't help with lost length. The device is great in conjunction with xiaflex in my opinion. How is heat applied? Heating pad? Can you share details and what you've noticed vs not applying heat? Any info on heat being beneficial for cells repairing?

I'm not sure if either heat or cold helps... i usually ice down a fresh injury... but this not fresh anymore, now i'm dealing with disorganized cells.  No plaque yet... hoping that with Pentox and early start, I can keep it that way and then reverse it

Whatnext,

When you say you've had great results, what results have you observed? And what is the total amount of time you wear the device each day?

I've regained 1.6" in lost length. Been using it since October. Never any more than 60 mins a day. Always 30 min sessions. I've had good results with my curvature as well, but that could be due to xiaflex.

@ WhatNext81, great result so far, are you carrying on using your traction, at what stage do you stop?

Sounds good. It has been posited on this forum in the past that the level of success (or lack thereof) with traction devices is partially dependent on whether one's plaque is calcified or not.

Has your Uro commented on your level of calcification?

Im using restorex in conjunction w supplements, low dose cialis, xiaflex and heat.  For heat I use the "hot hands" and wrap it in self-adhesive wrap as doesn't stick to skin.  Some use hairbands-regardless be sure to not cut off the circulation.  I wear it all day and after stretching until the heat is gone—sometimes 12 hours.  Don't use the toe or foot warmers as they get to hot. For any heat, if it's getting to hot, remove it.  Here's a pic of how I fasten it, still able to urinate w/o removing.  Other pic of wearing it while traction w restorex.

What is the theory on heat vs cool? I get that heat will increase blood flow and make stretching easier, but also can aggravate inflammation.  Cool pack would do the opposite... IS it that the inflammatory process has passed and the increased blow flow improves the new cell growth and healing?

Tony - I admire your aggressive approach. Getting back to the calcification question, has Dr. Lue commented on yours? I'm sure he has done an ultrasound. Still wondering about the potential that has on traction results.

I didn't have any calcification upon the initial consultation when the ultrasound was done. A few injections were difficult. One really hard to penetrate. Not sure if that was an indicator of it calcifying? I was told that some of their data indicated a correlation between age and rebounding from the current state of peyronie's when beginning to treat. Treatments not including surgery, that is.

When Dr Lue did my ultrasound he found a very large plaque wrapping around the sides and top side of shaft, but no calcification.  I'm thinking I've had some additional slight improvement in the curve since last injection and will measure it at next appointment.

Interesting. I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think calcification can be observed with ultrasound. So that probably would have been noted at your initial consultation.

The reason I think so is a urologist who performed an ultrasound on me commented afterwards "it appears your plaque is beginning to calcify." I didn't press the question at the time, but that comment insinuates it can be seen.

If in fact you do not yet have calcification, that probably increases the probability that traction may be effective for you. It would be interesting to get the RestoreX position on this difference.

I just briefly reviewed the RestoreX website and did not see a mention of calcified vs. non-calcified effectiveness of the device/usage protocol. May be a critical difference.

I believe that the only way you can determine if a plaque has calcified is with an ultrasound.  I dont think you can fell the plaque and tell.

Dr Lue indicated calcification can be found on an ultrasound.

Hey tSanchez.... Your penis glans seems pretty compressed from the device. Am I wrong in my perception?

T.sanchez (Tony) -  Are you still seeing length increase as a result of using RestoreX?  When you said your length increased by 1.6", were you referring to your flaccid length or both your flaccid and erection lengths?  Please advise.  Also, have you achieved further length gains since your previous 1.6" gain?  Many thanks!

I only gained what had lost with peyronies...nothing extra.

Thanks for your reply, Tony.  So did you regain your lost length both in flaccid size and erection size or only flaccid size?  The pictures you posted were SO helpful.  I'm going to buy RestoreX and "Hot Hands".  Thanks again!

Hey Sanchez... Can you respond to my post please?

Pfract, hmmm I did have to lower the size setting for the glans size...hope this isn't permanent and don't know if due to restorex.  I've started using PMP again during the day to get more time in...and so far no more blisters...

Just removed PMP and have 3 blisters...it's so hard to control the tension w the straps-should have stuck w the restorex!  Arrrghhhh

Tony - what made you decide to start using the PMP instead if Restorx.  I thought you loved the Restorex.  Sorry to hear about your blisters?

I was traveling and didn't have time to do it in private so started doing it when out and about.  Since I wasn't getting blisters for four days was going to keep doing PMP during the day and restorex when home at night. One step forwards, three back....

Hey,
I'm interested in buying PMP or Restorx for enlargement purpose + I have curvature since adolescence that I will be happy to correct it its peyronies cause and not congenital (As I understood, can not be repaired without surgery).

What do you think is better investment? take the hype with Restorx? I found it promising since its much less time to use it. this could help me get a 1-2 cm in length and some improvement in the thickness?

Thanks!

Gain in length is expected if lost to peyronies.  If no loss of length, may be just a little gain in length per medical studies.

You ordered Restorex at March 28 but didn't posted on this topic that you opened it from March 30.
You are using it?
Have some results?
