I've been doing a lot of research on venous leakage and understand what it is and how it happens. I find much less info on if anyone has ever been cured from it?, if it will go away on it's on?, if sex or use of VED hurts or helps? how long it normally lasts? effective non-surgical treatment options? I would love to hear from anyone who has had this problem and is now cured!
My background: I've had a curved penis/Peyronies before and it eventually went away away after 4-5 years in my 20's after months and years of gently stretching it in warm bath water. Now in my late 40's I got it again after a careless sex injury. Neither time with Peyronies did I have venous leakage or any problem keeping or getting an erection. However about 6 mths ago, I was over-streching things trying to work the curve out and pretty sure I broke a vein or something near the base of my penis. There was a sharp pain and soft erections started almost immediately. The sharp pain eventually turned into a dull constant pain with painful erections which lasted several months. My penis also began to shrink which it had not done before. Over time and with heat therapy the constant pain has gone away and the erections are now slightly uncomfortable and not possible without Stendra or Viagra. My erections are so soft without a pill that I could barely have intercourse, but I can easily have an orgasm with oral sex and a soft erection. My Stendra resolved the erection/intercourse problem, but obviously that's a patch and not a cure. My questions above are ones that I've been unable to find answers to, so any advice or help is much appreciated! I'm sure hoping this is not a live long condition!
By your symptoms, you fractured your penis. There is nothing you can do that will cure you, except for possibly a revascularization surgery which is done by a doctor in California.

Hi, yes I wanted to know more about the fracture part. I was just making an observation that it has not effected my ability to have an orgasm, but has made it difficult to have normal intercourse without pills. Basically it's a soft erection that never gets hard enough for penetration. Why don't they tell you about this stuff in SEX ED class? It's pretty big news to tell someone, hey this thing could break and can't be fixed so you should be careful with it! So, can you tell me more about what you have tried and if anything has been effective?
There is not much we can do. The penis won't improve as time goes by. More likely it will get worse. You have micro arteries that run inside your penis, besides the veins, and those almost always get blocked or crimped when you fracture your penis. There is a surgery that cures it, by that doctor I told you about. In some very select cases. So, either that or prepare for a life of pills, or injections, or an implant.

Surprised that case study isn't getting a bit more interest. A case of venous leakage, confirmed by pharmaco-cavernosography, reversed with the administration of testosterone.
In other words, what we all assume to be a purely mechanical issue, reversed by chemical intervention.

I have had venous leakage since 1995 after my prostate surgery. Had a slight leakage as early as age 55, prostate surgery in 1995.
As far as I have been able to find any answers about the question: Is Venous leakage able to be fixed? There are some surgeons claim success in fixing venous leakage, but there seems to be very few, if any, reports of success published.
My own personal URO who is current member of the AUA, states none articles have been published stating that a fix for venous leakage has been successful. Some reports a reduction in leakage, but not a total fix.
Bottom line for is that there is NO CURE at present for venous leakage.

Great find by the way. So we can add another treatment option for venous leakage that has shown quite a good success rate.

At the onset of the disease Paulis and the others do prescribe Silmarin ( with trental and the others drugs) because the substance can contrast the effect of elastase, reducing or slowing down the damage.
Venous leakage is likely the result of the degeneration of the elastic fibers , over time.
I got too but it take over 10 years for a severe E.D ( got Peyronies Disease at 30, 17 years ago).

White tea counteracts elastase too, so could give a little benefit.
A serious, honest andrologist may find a therapy that may help a little, anyway.

For what i know this technique which he is using is very very new due to it wont be in documents and in any paper. The doctor told something about it in the last days of february in his twitter
And according to what that person (who had the procces done) said to me he is using a new approach with cavernosography that catch veins which were not seen by normal cavernosografia or doppler or something similar.

The dangers of T are exaggerated.
If you fear some of the side effects, some injectable hCG and an anastrozole supplement can prevent any side effects.
There is some evidence that T can make prostate cancer worse IF you have prostate cancer. T will, however, not increase the incidence of GETTING prostate cancer.

The main worry I have with exogenous testosterone is that it can shut down natural testosterone production, sometimes permanently. Is that a misplaced fear?
Sort of.
There is a possibility of that happening if you take anabolic steroids, which are chemicals similar in structure to testosterone - but not really testosterone. The body has a hard time breaking them down, which is why you can get so muscular on them. It is constantly activating the T receptors, telling your body to grow.
With testosterone itself, that should not be a problem. You take an injection of hCG to maintain the size of your testicles. With that being said, testosterone should not be an on/off thing. If you want on, you should stay on. Also, if you go off, you will come down to the same crappy levels you were at before. Testosterone could potentially remodel your tissues, and studies show that it aids a great deal in wound healing. For example, oxandrolone is given to HIV waisting patients and burn victims.

So almost a year later I get my testosterone checked, 24.8 which converts to 714.
Double my age and James' has basically as high T levels as me.
Mine were like 320ish at 30. I have normal hair growth and normal sized testicles. My urologist told me once that's normal, since the receptors may be more sensitive in me vs other people. Maybe Christopher can clear that up.
If you have symptoms of low T and/or a venous leak diagnosed by a physician, it is worth a try.

I'm curious about the hcg to counter the side effects of T of testicle shrinkage. Can you say how much and how often?
My T has tested around 300 over the last year that we've been testing. I've been working with a naturopath, hoping to avoid the whole testicle issue as a consequence of taking the T steroid.
In addition to testicle shrinkage as a concern, an equal concern is that in some circumstances where one sets about toying with T inducing protocols -- the male body will take testosterone and turn it into estrogen. And, while every male has normal amounts of estrogen as a routine, higher levels of estrogen don't produce the results most men are looking for, ahem. Hear ye, hear ye.
Some guys respond to the non-drug alternatives and produce T, but my body has not opted to cooperate so far. This week we're reviewing the possibility of taking Clomid which is affordable and has an off-label use for tricking the male body into boosting T. There's a second pill that will block the mechanism that takes T and turns it into estrogen.

It seems like burdock root would be a much better choice than silmarin (milk thistle)... it suppresses elastase down while not affecting collagenase.
