Title: What is the best VED protocol?
Post by: popopo on February 08, 2018, 01:54:15 PM
I'm worried about injuring myself when using a VED and I just read the VED protocol on this website, but I also talked to dr.Kuehhas who told me another protocol. I'm wondering which one is best.

I think we all know what's mentioned here on the forum. 15 minutes long, pump till full erection, hold for 10 seconds, release pressure, take a short 10 sec break and repeat, right?

But dr Kuehhas told me the following and ussered me if I stick to that protocol I wob't damage myself. He said this: aim for 10 erections in one session. Pump up till a full erection, hold for 2 minutes, release pressure for 30 seconds and repeat for a total of around 30minutes a day.

Which of these protocols is best? And is cutting off bloodflow for 2 minutes dangerous? I heard tissue damage happens when you cut off bloodflow for more than 5 (maybe 10) minutes, but I don't wanna risk it.

I dont think you ever pump to FULL erection. I think you pump to close to full. I have been on the VED 3 cylinder for the last month. Seemed to be getting a tight fit in it so I upgraded to the B cylinder. I imagine I will start to fill out the B cylinder?

I basically warm up before, start slowly pumping, and then at the end of the 15 min I up the pressure. Never to any discomfort. Sometimes I need a little bit of porn to get the blood flowing. Once I noticed that my dent dissipates and or goes away I know its time to stop. Sometimes I go for 20 min if the dent is still present. Also, if I do get arroused I feel the pressure in different locations. Sometimes closer to the tip and other times closer to where my bend starts and dent is.

Everyone on here seems to somewhat deviate from the protocol a little bit...but NEVER over pump. If youre sore take a break that day.

"I basically warm up before, start slowly pumping, and then at the end of the 15 min I up the pressure"

What do you mean you up the pressure at the end of the 15 min? Every time you pump, you are upping the pressure.

I will always recommend the method used in the succesful VED study. The protocol below is the only protocol that has actually been tested in a clinical environment with results being published in a peer reviewed study.

-----------------------------

Over a 12-week period, the patients used a vacuum device without the constriction ring, for 10 min twice daily to stretch the penis. The cylinder was applied to the penis and slowly inflated until the penis was erect and maintained in this position for 3 min. The vacuum was then released to allow the erection to subside and the process repeated over a 10-min period.

The role of vacuum pump therapy to mechanically straighten the penis in Peyronie's disease - Raheem - 2010 - BJU International - Wiley Online Library (http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1464-410X.2010.09365.x/pdf)

------------------------------

The above was the method used in the peer reviewed published study I linked to above, which had successful results for participants. It also had no adverse incidents which pretty much destroys the idea that holding pressure sufficient to sustain a normal erection beyond a few seconds will cause damage. Any other protocol is based upon anecdotal evidence, there are no other VED studies on Peyronie's.

Note to all users and prospective users of VED therapy.

Again, I still recommend the protocols cited in the VED board section of the home page. This forum has been in existence since 2005. There is no way to even begin to estimate those users who used the protocols that had at least some success in getting help for those users for the Peyronies Disease therapy.

I know that there is much resistance on the forum to many members due to whatever their reasons. But, I personally know many members, including myself, that have had total success using the recommended protocols. It seems that once members who have success never come back on the forum to report it.

These protocols DO NOT RECOMMEND USING HOLDING PRESSURE BEYOND ONLY A FEW SECONDS, NOT MINUTES OR MORE.

I am sorry that I maintain my position of using the suggested protocols, but I have used other methods of Peyronies Disease therapy, but none worked better than the vacuum therapy. They are the safest methods over those that RECOMMEND VACUUM PRESSURES THAT CAN AND WILL CAUSE FURTHER DAMAGE TO ONES MOST PRIZED PERSONAL POSSESSION.

For the members that disagree with my position on this matter, I say use the old expression: TO EACH HIS OWN.

Regards to all and I hope that each and every one taking a different postion on vacuum therapy, good luck with whatever therapy you choose.

Hi Oldman, do you have any opinion on 3 cylinder VEDs versus single cylinder VEDs?

Breadman:

OK, you have asked the most requested fact about which VED to use. The best  answer I can give to your is do some serious research in the many posts about VED therapy in the two topics/threads. They are listed in the home page index.

So, log in and scroll down the list till you find each of the boards. After reading them, send me another PM with any questions you might have.

I have used both the one and three model VEDs with great success.

Best regards, Old Man

As someone that tried almost every VED protocol to gain back length an girth, to eliminate hourglasses, to eliminate bent and curve, I can say that the only protocol that helped me was the Old Man proposed protocol, holding pressure for shot periods of time.
