Title: The Body Electric by Dr Robert Becker
Post by: rellisacct on March 02, 2017, 03:20:28 PM
Is anyone here handy with electricity and creating low amp circuits? Dr. Robert Becker did a lot of work on the effect of micro currents on the body and the results were amazing. He was able to regrow rat limbs in the body.

Sounds interesting, but I don't know anything about it. If you know more please share.

It was not until some 180 years later that scientists again began to delve into the mystery of regeneration. In 1945, the biologist Meryl Rose (a retired professor of anatomy at Tulane University College of Medicine who is currently affiliated with Woods Hole Marine Biological Laboratories) amputated the forelegs of some frogs below the elbows. Thinking he could perhaps promote growth by preventing the injuries from scarring over, he bathed the stumps of the frogs' limbs in a strong salt solution.

The result was startling. About half of each amputated limb regenerated, developing new bone and muscle and in some case even showing the beginnings of digital growth. Thus Rose became the first to prove that an animal which cannot regenerate naturally can be made to do so artificially.

The next year, a Russian named Vladimirovic Polezhaev amputated frogs' legs in a similar fashion and then irritated the stumps by repeatedly jabbing them with needles. The result? Astonishingly, he regenerated about the same amount of growth that Rose had with the salt solution. It was possible that the salt not only had prevented scarring but, like the needle punctures, had actually exacerbated the injuries and thereby stimulated growth. Now there was another clue: Regeneration may somhow be connected to the severity of injury.

I didn't read the whole article yet but lets get some salt and needles!!! :D

The article is from August 6, 1978. Nothing new about the frogs?
I know I am an old man, but as we have a little bit different genetics than frogs,
proposing to all our forum members not to cut they penis and wait that it will grow back :)

This scientist re-wires frogs to grow extra limbs. Could it work in humans? | Popular Science (http://www.popsci.com/body-electrician-whos-rewiring-bodies)

This article is from Popular Science magazine and the guy that they write the article about is trying to build off of the work that Robert Becker did.

I would try some experimentation on myself but I don't want to add charred penis to my list of sexual problems, as I'm completely ignorant of electricity. It would take me two years to study this stuff before I would feel comfortable stabbing my penis with needles and electrocuting it, so I was hoping that someone would be able to read the book "The Body Electric" and be able to translate some of it into English that I could actually understand.

Happy to see that someone working on the subject, also the article is written more like a novel.
Quote...on the short side, with pale blue eyes, and an often untidy beard, Levin looks a lot like Pavel Chekov, the navigator...
QuoteHe rarely betrays amazement, humor, or even a glint of smug...

By the way rellisacct, I am working 60 year with electricity (at the age of 9 my first experiment, electrocuting a fly stuck on a needle. I found myself flying to the opposite wall of the room).
I am proposing you NOT to try to experiment yourself with those things :)
Let's see, with big hope, how Levine will progress with the funds he is getting now
