Title: peyronies symptoms
Post by: LarryLaffer on January 09, 2019, 02:34:18 PM
Hi everyone,
In the Peyronies pics I 've seen so far, or cases I read about, the penis has a visible dent/bent when it is erect. Are there also cases where there is a dent/bent while penis is half erect/getting erect, but this disappears when the penis is erect. I mean the erect penis looks normal without any pain.
The reason I'm asking is that I have such a condition for many years. When the penis is left alone while getting erect (no manual stimulation)  a curve downwards develops as if there is a bottleneck at some point, or a restriction but as the erection increases/gets better it straightens out without any pains etc during intercourse.
Best,

In my opinion this could be a very very mild form of Peyronies. It means that part of you Tunica is not quite as elastic is it once was. So during the process of erection it doesn't expand at the same rate. So this can cause a bend during a partial erection or while you are getting an erection. But then one you start achieving your full erect state then this area finally does expand. So once you are fully erect then you don't see any curve.

Now the real question....  Is this Peyronies?
In my opinion it is possible to be a very light case. It doesn't mean that it will get worse. That could be the total extent of it. Simply be aware and monitor to see if it progresses any at a later state. You might try traction just as a precautionary measure but I wouldn't be overly concerned at this point.

Larry, I would first ask if you can feel any lumps/plaque buildup within your penis? I would venture to say, most people with peyronies can actually feel the lump, which is often elongated within the penis. Do you ever remember doing through the  acute phase where there is pain in the penis? This can happen when not erect and/or during erection.

Scars that you can feel are not a pre-requisite for Peyronie's. I never had any scars until nearly 8 years after major bending, and MANY men on this forum do not have any plaques they can feel. The idea that Peyronie's is a "hard lump" is a wrong, and research backs this up if you read through it all.

Do not wait and do not trust a regular urologist. Take preventative measures now.

You would never know I have peyrones by seeing anything but the bend

Larry, even if it is a mild form of peyronies, the good news is given no change in two years - you'd seem to be in the stable phase.

Thanks for the replies, I haven't been able to write again before,

I associate this condition with an injury I had long years ago while doing some so-called penis enlargement exercises(jelqing). I saw a couple of urologists after that, but none could find anything.

In the last couple of years, (I am 44) the quality of my erections has worsened. Probably aging also amplified whatever problem I have. I lose my erections easily. I always need constant stimulation to keep it erect. For instance, before sex, I kind of lose my erection while trying to put on a condom.

The part of the corpus spongiosum that comes below that bending spot looks like it doesn't fill with blood as much as the rest when the penis is half erect. I feel like, when the penis is half erect, the blood doesn't fill everywhere equally, so the erection hardness isn't the same overall, just as  LWillisjr says. But as I mentioned before, when the penis gets fully erect, there is no visible deformity or curve or I don't have any pain.

I recently went to see a urologist about this. (One of the best urologists I could find in my country) I told him the whole story and the erection problems I'm having recently. He asked me to get some blood tests done to assess the erection problems. After having the results, he examined me but couldn't find anything. He prescribed 5 mg Cialis for a couple of months.
The urologist didn't ask for a doppler but I still wanted to have it done, as I thought it would show any scars/problems I might have.

The doppler report says that the blood flow in and out of the penis is within normal ranges. The tunica albuginea is normal but there are millimetric calcifications in both corpus cavernosum. The report concludes that there is no peyronies. A urologist in that hospital where I had this doppler, prescribed Trental (pentox) for these calcifications.

Even though I was diagnosed as having no peyronies, whatever problem I have, is causing me these erection problems. I believe I have some faulty tissues in my penis at that bending section, I will appreciate any suggestions you might have. Do you think VED or Traction devices could help? Thanks.

Both could potentially help remodel the plaque into healthy tissue, especially if coupled w low dose nightly cialis and Trental.

Thanks Tony,

I have a basic pump and when I use it I can't get fully erect in it. My penis stays close-to-erect with that slight bend, and as I continue to pump, instead of getting full erect and straighten, I feel like only the girth expands keeping the bend.

So I'm wondering would a traction device such as andropenis be better than a pump for my problem?

You don't want a full erection when treating Peyronies w the VED, do that's not a bad thing.  You could always add traction to the VED.
