Title: Implant Corrects a 45 degree bend
Post by: Hawk on August 04, 2018, 07:57:06 PM
I just spoke to a man in CA that had ED and a 45-degree bend from Peyronies.  He told me Dr. Eid assured him that he could do an implant for his ED and largely resolve his bend.  This man was afraid his 45-degree bend would prevent an implant.  He said from the moment of surgery he has zero curves.  He did say the glans looks like it has a slight rotation but one that would never be noticeable to anyone but him.  The bend was resolved with the implant alone and did not require a Nesbit, excision, or grafting. Those that have both Peyronies Disease and ED always have an implant as an option when they are considering options.  Just be certain to go with a very high volume surgeon.

Good to hear his surgery was successful. I'm currently awaiting implant surgery (pre-surgical assessment in a month, then get my date) for my 'complex' Peyronie's + ED. My curvature is somewhat more severe, 45 degrees left lateral, 80 degrees dorsal, so my specialist surgeon here in the UK reckons it will involve some penile reconstruction, most likely grafting, at the same time. Fingers crossed I can come back next year and report that my outcome was equally good! Thanks for the updates Hawk, this forum and FT have been great sources of information and reassurance.

Hawk: Dr eid , has some pictures of this in his website. It does indeed correct curvature with continuous usage of the implant as time goes by, even without further reconstruction. Doesn't work on too severe cases tho

@peyronies_dave judging by the amount of bad outcomes on UK surgeons, I wish you good luck. Please do your research wisely

The case i posted about was a contact i know from online.  His 45-degree curve was corrected immediately upon getting the implant.

My surgery is in 7 hours and i have very little curve at this point.  Loss of length. some hourglass at the base and ED are my issues.  Mostly ED.  the rest is very manageable.
