Title: Hey so I'm just gonna cut to the chase
Post by: Dunnobro on October 12, 2017, 07:49:26 PM
So this is going to be a long one, I have so many questions and I don't know where to start. I'm kind of nervous, kind of confused, don't even know if I'm in the right spot but hopefully I can get some answers. I know there's probably not a single professional on here but I would hope all of you know enough to help me out; which I need a lot of. Ok, let's cut to the chase.

My first question is, What qualifies as a mild case of Peyronies? Mine doesn't bend when erect, it just naturally bends doesn't it? Like it's normal to bend slightly to the left right? Like I hear everyone else's is like that. So I'm kind of questioning my diagnosis here; whether what my urologist said was right, I have no idea. I do see that the spot just under my head is kinda "dips down", then goes back up, like it's thinner behind the head but not REALLY thin. The shaft doesn't look like it's effected at all, the base looks ok, I still feel pain around there though as well as behind the head; but only when erect. It might've been 3 years embarrassingly but I honestly didn't think it was that bad. Hopefully I'm just going through a mild case, penis skin feels weird (like numb but idk if that's the right word), it's kind of a 'sting' feeling or a 'sore' feeling, my penis is softer, my erections aren't their best either; but overall I feel like I can definitely still overcome this with treatment.

The second question, If I do have what my urologist says I have, Given my symptoms, do you think that this may be a mild case and am able to overcome it? If not why? If so how long do you estimate Till i'll be able to get better?

Third question, (I know I already asked like several questions already but bear with me please), I have heard of 'size loss' but I don't think I'm experiencing this but then I wonder, how much do you lose over a 3 year time span? Also if I'm experiencing a mild case, do you think I'd be able to regain whatever size I may have lost if any? And for those who have lost but recovered, how much of a recovery do you think I will be able to make? (I know it's impossible to know but I honestly want any answer at this point).

Fourth question,(this is going to be impossible), given the info I provided, do you think I have peyronies? I know it's not enough but if you have any questions I would be happy to answer them to give you more specifics. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Seriously.

Summary: I'm unsure of my diagnosis, wondering if I am able to recover, and would just like more insight about this. Thank you!

Do you feel small lumps within your flaccid penis. Anything, even tiny, that may be a small hardened lump that is an abnormality? If so, you have your answer, you have peyronies. You have not been very specific about other things. The dip you see is likely an indent. When do you think this all happened, your message refers to 3 years? 3 years ago you sustained an injury? How long have you been experiencing your new symptoms? If you're experiencing your symptoms recently and you feel a small nodule or lump in your penis then welcome to the peyronies club. You'll be a member for a while.

Briefly, I started out as a small single tiny lump, then an indent below my head on the top, then Erectile dysfunction, then the lump grew, then new lumps, then more indents to point that I have ~10 small indents, noticeable only to me. No curve really developed. This occurred over 6 months. A urologist won't offer you anything at your current stage of the condition. You'll want to pursue pentox TID, daily cialis, l argenine, CoQ10. Maybe VED and traction but being vigilant about that is hard.

My doctors, some of the best in the world for peyronies, say mine will get better... Yours might too, but hard to know. Mine continues to get worse. Depending on your curve, you seem to think yours has always curved? Then you're not ready for surgery to straighten it, you don't sound like you need an implant, so you're in the same place I am: "you have peyronies, it might get better, here are some pills, go wait it out for 6-12 months"

If you have been diagnosed as having Peyronie's the time to act is now. A 'mild' case can easily become more severe with this unpredictable disease.

As DN has suggested, Pentox if you can encourage your urologist to prescribe it ( there's plenty of medical evidence on the site of it's possible benefit in treating Peyronie's). Also low dose Cialis is believed to have anti fibrotic properties. Also look at ALC, citrulline maleate, Ubiquinol.

VED used regularly with caution wiil help to maintain healthy blood flow to the penis too.

Lumps are not a requirement for Peyronie's, and likely only show up LATER once the disease is severe. If your penis is bending, you have Peyronie's in my book. Do NOT wait to treat it or at least treat it like Peyronie's. Before the scarring you are likely to have hematomas in the penis, inflammation trapped within the tunica that causes minor bending, that appears to go away a few hours after sex. This is not to be taken lightly, and it's what I consider pre-peyronie's.

You can prevent further damage and probably improve any symptoms you have. The disease is wicked, so do not think you can get away with drinking alcohol, having rough sex or masturbating roughly, or letting your blood sugar go to 90 or above.

Ok I guess I do have this, but how long do I have to be taking medications for? I'm hoping it's not THAT bad.

I'm on mobile so I don't really know how to reply atm but I was also wondering how long you guys have been dealing with this? And just answer some other questions: yes it's been 3 years, I've lost only some feeling in my penis, but I guess I'm still somehow in pre-peyronies stage as one mentioned on here as his description of the phase was pretty similar. Kinda feel lucky it never got worse. I've been experience slight pain when erect about 2 years, it's been tough, I never mentioned to anyone as I thought this was too embarrassing to share with anyone. Thank you for all your replies btw. Now reading through many comments on the forum makes me kinda scared because many say this isn't going anywhere anytime soon but idk maybe I'm in denial but I truly believe that I can probably get over this in under a year or so. I'm just using Vitamin E but I already feel kinda better, but I will take your suggestions and take Pentox and the others. the curve would've probably come later if I hadn't taken action now. (Or maybe it'll still come, who knows.) I'll posting daily about my progress though (I might forget though). One last question, has anybody actually successfully recovered from Peyronies? If so I'd like to hear some stories

Spontaneous resolution of the disease is unfortunately rare. And almost certainly would have occurred in the 3 yrs you say you've had it.

So yes, sorry to say that you're in this for the long haul. That doesn't mean it's neither manageable nor treatable. But you need to address the issue now.

Your posts are very unclear. "everyone has a curve like that right?" Is it a new curve?! You sound like you have ED, have you been taking PDE5 inhibitors? If you're having dick issues, which probably took you to the urologist, and he thinks it's peyronie's then it probably is. If it's 3 years, you're probably fairly stable. Is the condition causing you problems? After three years you're very unlikely to improve significantly but again it's unclear WHAT YOUR ACTUAL ISSUE IS? Significant curve, erectile dysfunction refractory to PDE5 inhibitors, indents??? These are what peyronie's is and what people complain about. The curve needs xiaflex/pentox/traction/ved, the indents need VED, the erectile dysfunction needs Cialis/Viagra/injections. OR an implant will fix all of these at once. Please report your symptoms clearly and we can help you better.

This topic as an introduction, has ended his life :)
