Title: How long does it take for Pentox to leave your system?
Post by: wonderbread1662 on July 10, 2015, 04:32:15 AM
Basically what the title says. I was recently diagnosed with a prostate infection and I hear pentox can hurt your immune system. How long does it take for pentox to no longer be in your system once you stop taking it?

Edit: Well I have been off pentox for 3 days now. So hopefully that will be enough to clear my system of it.

wonderbread, from what i understand, the immuno-supressive effects of pentox should stop pretty soon after you stop taking the pill.
About the prostate infection, read up on the fourm about prostatitis. Im not sure what symptoms you have, but some symptoms can be similar to peyronies, and drs will use prostatitis as a broad diagnosis for which they can perscribe something. Your prostate may be fooling you, and the antibiotics can do more harm than good

Wonder

I quit Pentox after 18 months 3*400 mg per day because I was getting severe flue every 6 weeks or so.
It was while I had a severe flue, didn't get flue anymore, so I suppose that the Pentox effect on my immune system diminishes fast, a couple of weeks maybe.
I am moving the topic to "Oral Treatments, I think better for the topic to be there.

Thanks for the help Jopus and James. I just started my antibiotics last night as I have waited for 3 days to be off pentox. Hopefully the antibiotics work, but if they don't then at least I will know what type of prostate infection I have.
