Title: Topical verapmil and a tens unit to improve absorption.

Has anyone heard of this procedure and what are the results. This was recommended by my urologist (one treatment eaxh week) along with daily use of a VED. My insurance (BCBS) classified it as experiential and would not cover the treatment.

I tried  verapamil followed up with 1 MHz ultrasound for several weeks. Seemed to help with the pain but I ended up with a some rash and itching. Now I just do ultrasound.
