Hello,
I was officially diagnosed with Peyronies on December 31st. The pain started in October, but the plaque became evident in December.
I currently have pain with erections and when pressing on the plaque which is located mid shaft and approximately the size of 4 square lego block. I have no curvature at this point and have had a color Doppler performed.
I have been prescribed Pentox 400mg x 2 (no additional meds prescribed) by a specialist and a follow-up date for 6 months.
I cannot wait to see what develops so I am planning to try several different things to combat the advancement of the disease.
I need help, advice, and opinions.
Here is what I am in the process of ordering and what I plan to try:
1. Pentox 400mg x3 per day.
2. Low dose of daily Cialis
3. Nattokinase 2 x per day - before breakfast and at bedtime
4. L-Arginine 2 capsules a day
5. GNC - multi vitamin 2 per day
6. Ubiquinol
7. Omega 3 - Fish Oil
Possibly Serrapeptase, Acetyl-L-Carnitine
Please add your opinions, comments, etc. I recognize every case is different, but we are all suffering from this, and will hopefully find something that helps.
William
Attacking this now is definitely your best course of action. I wish I'd done the same, but at the time I had no idea what I was dealing with.
Most of what you've mentioned is fine. I would most definitely add ALC. Both that and Arginine are available in powder form, which is far cheaper - both easily dissolve in water. Better than arginine would be Citrulline Malate - more bio available.
As to Nattokinase and Serrapeptase, I have not tried them personally. But, from what I know of our member's opinions, they are not highly regarded.
Citrulline, not arginine. Take Pine Bark extract or Grape Seed extract (cheaper) for more nitric oxide and penile health. ALCAR also has endothelial and anti-inflammatory properties but it's your call depending on if you're worried about TMAO levels. I would not take those enzymes since they have not proved to be effective. Make sure you're getting enough vitamin D and K for arterial and endothelial health.
The above is my standard for foundation against the disease, along with CoQ10 as I see you're taking as ubiquinol. Of course, if you can afford to take nattokinase you could try it.
ALC is a must for me. Not too sure there is any point to natto.
is L-Citrulline more bio-available than l-Arginine?
Yes, very much so, since Arginine has to be processed in the liver where much of it is degraded.
