Title: ESL40 question
Post by: LondonMatt on February 25, 2018, 11:22:08 AM
Hi,
I am considering buying the ESL40 device from US original Website.
I have an upward and left bent in the acute phase, do you know which product is suitable ?

- Chest Harness ?
OR
- Leg Harness ?

Many thanks for your answer,

Matt

chest harness can only be used with gym pants...

use leg harness plus build your own waist harness. Or build your own leg harness as well - I haven't been using the original one, I don't like it. It's not elastic, so it can cause huge spikes in tension.

honestly I don't think the chest or leg harnesses are useful. I ended up tying the elastic strap (which is connected to the suction cup) to a length of cord then connecting the cord to a D-ring. I put on the suction cup then wrap the cord/elastic strap around my waist. I then pulled my underwear under the cord strap so it's more comfortable.  I switch sides everytime I need a bathroom break. I can easily go 8-10 hours a day with a fair stretch.

I think I will try this. Its hard to adjust the tension between sitting down and standing up with the leg harness. When you stand up you have to walk around like the
hunch back of Notre Dame if you don't unclip it.

@ka1142

Well I solved this problem by attaching one of those casino player's card paracord to the ESL40 strap's plastic circular attachment that's facing toward the ground and wrapping the paracord around my foot. Doing this allows me to not have to keep the strap cord too short in length and the velcro to be less tight because the second paracord gives stabilizing tension by hooking around my foot. Whenever I want to walk around I simply unhook the second paracord and it allows me to fully stand.

Also I put clean water into the cup to add moisture and two rubberbands around the ESL40 cup end on the outside to prevent suction blisters.

Thanks for the Diagram. Where did you get the casino paracord?

Got it free from a casino haha.

But you can order them online. Not sure if they sell at retail... You can also buy paracord and tie it onto clips too.

This setup mainly helps to maintain the tension for me because the velcro strap becomes too uncomfortable if too tight and if not tightly secured the tension does not stay consistent, therefore I use the paracord to stabilize and pull.
