Title: Cord like structure on penis
Post by: Kaimas on July 27, 2017, 06:21:15 PM
Hello,
I'm very nervous, because I have found a cord like structure on my penis shaft. It feel something like vein. It is soft. It is better seen when the penis is flaccid. It is not painful. Also my penis is curved to left. I've heard that should curve to the same side which the plaque is, but mine curves to the other side. I masturbate. There isn't an erectile dysfunction. Can any one help me? Shoud I be worried about it? Thanks.

Have you guys been for a diagnosis at all?

Mine feels more 'cordlike' when it's relaxed as well. I got a tentative Peyronie's diagnosis. It's wrapped around half of the circumference of the shaft of my penis and also (sort of disappears) when I'm erect... I don't really think it disappears as this is where the very shallow dent(s) in my erect penis are.

Hope you're both OK.

Nervous, I am going to start vacuum treatment. How are you doing?

Not bad thank you. Trying to be really positive. I'm fortunate that I don't have bad symptoms.. indentations and random pain in testicles/shaft etc. Able to ejaculate without pain. I've seen on other posts that you've described your plaques as lumps... My main concern is this cord. It's like a guitar string around my penis when I'm relaxed and my penis is flaccid. Do you also have something like a cord? How often do the plaques feel like this?

This is similar to mine too; it's like a cord that wraps around the right side of the shaft. However, my little guy bends left and upwards

Same with me. Diagnosed a calcified plaque by 3 urologists

I have the same cord-like structure. It is a form of Peyronie's plaque. Quoting Dr. L. Levine:

The scar can change in many ways, depending on the individual. It may thicken and spread, it may remain the same size, or in some cases, it may actually get smaller. It is not uncommon to find men who have mild Peyronie's disease who initially reported a nodule in the penis that gradually changed into a long, narrow cord extending sometimes from the head of the penis down into the base. This cord-like thickening process may be an indication of enlargement of the penile septum, which is the wall between the two erectile cylinders within the penis. The septum is where the bulk of the pressure is directed during sex. As a result of intercourse, gradual thickening of the septum can occur. Thickening of the septum may also occur as a result of the aging process. In the susceptible man, trauma during intercourse may trigger more aggressive Peyronie's disease with a new lump and further deformity.

Could be sclerosing lymphangitis

Reading about this stuff online honestly does nothing for me except upset me. Certain people have been incredibly unwise with how they've -assumedly -tried to help and comfort you - I read your post from April. I am just taking my potaba and wearing my traction device. People online are not doctors and many are as frustrated as you, maybe take a break from it. You have to look after your mental well-being too. I hope you're feeling better than you were earlier this year.
