Hello everyone. I'm 33 years old. About a year and a half ago I noticed a slight upward curve to the left. Over time it gradually worsened. There was really not much pain, I did notice it seemed harder to maintain a good erection during intercourse. Up until recently there was nothing that made me worry too much. About two weeks ago I noticed a puffy spot about half way up the shaft that quickly grew thicker and longer toward the end of the shaft away from my body(toward the head) I'm very sorry I don't know the technical term. I also recently noticed another puffy spot that thickened right below the head, this was about a week ago I noticed it starting and it quickly worsened. It grew very thick and was almost like it joined the lump that started in the middle of the shaft. There wasn't too much pain associated with this until yesterday morning. The slight curve had turned into a 90+ degree upward curve overnight and the lump had formed and hardened significantly overnight. It's such a severe lump that the shaft isn't round anymore. From where the lump started half way up the shaft all of the way to the head it has flattened and curved up and back inward towards my abdomen. Below where the lump is down to the base at my body it is also curved but not as significantly as where the lump formed. Is this normal for the lumps to worsen this quickly and do they normally get worse after this stage? Anyone have any similar misfortunes happening almost overnight? I'm pretty sure I have Peyronie's.
It certainly sounds like it could be peyronies. Can you get to a peyronies specialist ASAP? Meanwhile you may ask your GP to start you on pentox (1200mg/day) and daily low dose cialis or viagra to halt any further progression and to start the plaque remodeling process? You could also consider starting traction and or VED.
I figured it was. I haven't got a gp. Should I just call a urologist and go from there?
Where do you live? maybe someone here can recommend a urologist experienced w peyronies—most are not.
I'm in Maryland

Thank you
Went to a general practitioner this morning. The news I got there wasn't good but they referred me to a urologist who I'm set to see next friday morning. The practitioner prescribed me the pentox as per the recommendation of the urologist. He said to wait until I see the urologist for the Cialis/Viagra. He sounded pretty sure that what I have is Peyronie's.
Ask the uro a lot of questions about treatment and approach. Hopefully you have learned enough from the website. You can tell from his answers if he is up on Peyronies treatment. If he tells you take vitamin e and hope for the best, find another one ...
Thank you. I've definitely learned a lot here and I will definitely be asking a lot of questions. I wasn't really looking forward to having to go because it's embarrassing.
Dont sweat it, this is all a urologist does, so there is virtually nothing that will shock or surprise him. I have had female residents and female PA's injecting me, scanning me, wrapping it after Xiaflex shots, we talk about things while they are working like you would with a Starbucks Barista, its no big deal to them.
I guess that makes it a little better. I'm still not looking forward to it. Lol
