Title: Possible for Ultrasound to not pick up plaque?
Post by: 18yearoldcurve on March 16, 2018, 11:38:49 PM
I saw Dr. Lue today and had a ultrasound done by both him and his assistant. They felt my penis and felt no palpable scar tissue, and did an ultrasound to confirm that there is no scar tissue. He said congenital curvature. Is it possible that the ultrasound didn't pick up scar tissue? I'm just so paranoid that there could be scar tissue. I have a surgery scheduled for June.

Trust Lue, you're good!

dr Lue didn't notice all there was to notice, while dr Levine did. I believe this is due to the fact that dr Lue doesn't want to induce an erection as there's always risk involved with injecting through the tunica. But it seems to be reasonable that with a flaccid ultrasound you see less stuff for sure or else no doctor would take a chance and go for an erect ultrasound.

So do you think that his suggestion for surgery and his diagnosis of congenital could be wrong?

Man don't ever trust 1 doctor. Even great docs make mistakes. Go for 2nd 3rd opinion then u can decide who u want to do the surgery with.

Both Dr. Lue and the other doctor(his assistant doctor) both said no plaque. He said surgery would fix it. He is competent and confident and i like him. Should I go with the surgery ?

Dr Lue avoids surgery whenever possible.  But, if you feel better w a second opinion keep the appt w Dr Gelman 👍🏼

Yep. You're right. However, Lue was quick to go into surgery because of the fact that there's no plaque.

Sounds like the way to go.

90 degrees. It curves down. Always had a down curve.

Mine has always been pointing upwards, very close to my belly button. Which was probably part of the problem, since it's not very well conducive to girl on top positions... I wonder what that is, if it's a congenital curvature hidden at the very base, or if it's the ligaments that are pulling too hard. No idea...

If you care for your penis DO NOT have girl on top sex, unless you can hold a 95-100% erection whilst doing so you are taking a great risk of injury.

You might very well just have strong erections which is a great thing.  If you post a pic I suspect it'd be pretty easy to tell you if it's a curve or just astrong erection standing at attention.

I wonder if Dr. Lue will do another ultrasound/examination before the surgery. I forgot to mention the indent which I should've but given that they both found no plaque makes me confused.

Mine has always been pointing upwards

This was me writing, not Tsanchez12369. I have no idea how the mixup happened.

18yearoldcurve,

If Dr. Lue diagnosed you with congenital curvature, and you have said you have "always had this", Then I think you probably have a congenital curve. And unfortunately, surgery is the likely course of action.

IF, and I say IF you had peyronies, it is unlikely that anything other than surgery would correct a 90 degree downward curve.

You might very well just have strong erections which is a great thing.

There is also a slight upward curve and now even a twist. Plus I have been diagnosed by both Lue and Levine. It might be a great thing to have it point really close to my belly, who knows, but I am afraid it means I should have never had so much cow-girl or reverse cow-girl sex. :(
