Hi everyone. I'm new here. Glad to find this forum.

My name is Rodrigo, 46 years old from Brazil.
I used to have a curvature (down) since childhood, and in the beginning of 2017 I've noticed a fibrosis and not full erection anymore.

In January I went to Dr. Paulo Egydio in São Paulo, who diagnosed Peyronie and suggested a penis reconstruction with a semi-rigid prothesis implant.
I went through surgery on February 16th.

The final result looks great: My penis is a little longer and thicker, and 100% straight.
After a month, there were no stitches and almost no swelling.

However, two months later, I still have to deal with pain (an assistant of Dr. Paulo said that I'm actually having a slow recovery... :-\ ).
From the beginning, Dr. Egydio instructed me to bend up (towards my belly) or position it to the left side. But in both cases the underwear causes such pressure that, after a few minutes (sometimes immediately), I'm in unbearable pain.
There are days that, under the effect of painkillers and xylocaine, I can stand a couple a hours with underwear and clothes, but it's rare.

Before the surgery, I used to position my penis bending down. I still have no malleability to do it. Dr. Egydio says that it takes 60 days or more to start training how to handle the prothesis and being able to bend it down again (I'll see him again next tuesday - 24th)

Meanwhile, I still deal with pain. Can't do nothing but staying home.  :-[

I'd love to hear from guys who went through the same procedure, and specially about the recovery.
Sorry about my english.

In advance, thanks for reading.  :)

Hola Rodrigo -- I did not have an implant, but I did have plication surgery in June 2016. My recovery diary (in my signature line) has all the details of recovery, there might be some similarities.

I can tell you that without a prosthesis, it was months before I could think about pointing my erect dick in any direction. You're adding a prosthesis in there, and it seems to me that your body will need time to a) get used to the new apparatus, b) build tissue around it to secure it.

It also makes sense that he wants you to move it around.

I can also tell you that I have mind blowing sex now. Having a straight shaft is...amazing. My entire shaft is where all the sensations happen during sex. I thought my orgasms were good before the surgery. Now, they are MIND BLOWING.

Don't give up hope. Be patient. Report back what Edygio has to say next Tuesday!

John

Hi JohnW,

Thanks a lot for your feedback.
I guess patience is the word for now.
I'll get back here next wednesday to report Dr. Egydio's orientation.

Hello Rodrigo,

I've had the same suggestion from Dr. Egydio (reconstructive surgery with a semi-rigid implant). I haven't done the surgery yet, but I'm considering it at the moment.

It'd be great to hear updates about your recovery and how's the process of getting used to the implant going.

Wish you a great recovery!

Dan

R_Alves was last online at April 24, 2018 so don't expect a prompt answer Dan.
Hope everything OK with him, maybe an other member with the mind of:
"I had my solution, buy and never see you again"
We have members like that from time to time :(
