As my headline indicates, my urologist is recommending shockwave therapy and PRP injections, 12 sessions total. This will cost me $6,500 US dollars total because my insurance won't cover it. My question is should I even bother. As I've been reading on the forum this may not help me at all. My condition is as follows - dent on left side just below penis head or Corona. Dents at base on left and right sides which cause the hourglass effect. My erections are not stable or firm. My daily pain comes from the dent just below the penis head. If you all think I should go through with this let me know. I only have minor curvature to the right. Thank you for this forum.
Peyronie's since 2016. Severe pain until 2017. Most subsided pain since then. Taking - vitamins, Cialis 10mg. Still suffering. Trying traction and VED but need to be consistent

My recommendation would be to get a second opinion from a Uro that is a Peyronies Disease expert....have you already done Xiaflex?

What would you all recommend? Xiaflex with cialis? Anything else? I'm in NC in the US if you know of any good docs here...

For what it is worth I have gone through 4 cycles of xiaflex and had great results in reducing my curve. Approximately 40 degrees down to 10 degrees.  There can be side effects to the treatment (severe swelling, hematoma, etc.) but I found it definitely worth it.  I still have significant plaque which causes some hourglassing but am able to have a firm erection and intercourse.  I tried 3 cycles of PRP to help reduce the hourglassing and had zero success, only temporary increase in flaccid size.  I also have done 4 sessions of ESWT and found it very painful when the pulses were going directly into the plaque.  In theory it is supposed to help break up the plaque, but I think in my case it may actually be doing a bit of damage so I stopped the sessions. Happy to answer any questions.

A good starting treatment is pentox, low dose daily cialis or viagra and traction/VED all to attack the plaque and stop it in its track.  Can always add supplements, heat, etc.
