So, I'm about to restock on L-Arginine and Acetyl L-Carnitine, but I"ve heard L-Citrulline covers both of them? If someone can explain this to me, that would be great. If I can save some money just getting the Citrulline, I'd definitely prefer that. I currently take 2000mg Carnitine and 5000mg of Arginine per day. Thanks in advance!

Hi, L-citrulline escapes intestinal or liver metabolism, and enters the kidneys where it is rapidly converted into L-arginine, see https://www.defymedical.com/resources/health-articles/108-l-citrulline-restoring-erectile-function-viagra-doesn-t

L-citrullline effectively activates the L-arginine/NO/cGMP/VEGF pathway.

Note:- Don't bother with L-Citrulline Malate, it contains malic acid, rots teeth, go for pure L-Citrulline powder.
Most Citrulline is Citrulline Malate as the fitness community prefer its action for pre-workout purposes, not required for your dick LOL  :)

Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.

L citrulline actually provide more l-arginine to the body then taking l-arginine straight up.  As mentioned it has to do with by passing the liver, it's called first pass metabolism.  About 70% of arginine get converted to ornathine in the liver.  While  important to the body, doesn't help with nitric oxide production, which is what is needed to increase blood flow.  YOu can take about 1500 mg per day of citrulline as a dose. You have to take about 5000mg of arginine for the same effect.  And then you get more additional side effects.
