Hey All,

My hubby has had peyronies for about 6 years.  At the time he was diagnosed insurance wouldn't pay for the medicine and we were pretty discouraged by all the options so we just did nothing.  Every couple of years I do some research to see if anything has changed in the world of treatment.  This last time I checked it seems some things have changed and there is more info/research on old treatments.  My hubby is not a researcher and so it's up to me to find info and devise a plan.  I apologize up front for being a female on your forum discussing such a personal topic.  Going forward I think we may try one of the torture, I mean, stretching devices, he's going to start some enzymes, we are applying castor oil and starting some heat therapy.  Fun times!

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Amanda, welcome and no apology necessary.  This is a condition that people need to be more open about.  You don't really mention how this has impacted his performance and what effect he is suffering.  Is it just a nuisance and maybe bothersome in its looks, or is it more debilitating?  if it's Dibilitating or effecting your relationship maybe you want to seek out a Peyronies specialist.  Six years is a long time and he may have calcified plaques already, limiting treatments from a physician.  ON your own, stretching devices seem to be one of the best treatments available.
There are good reviews of different ones on this forum.  I have the andropeyronie and I would NOT reccomend that device.

There are oral treatments, like coq10, l acetyl carnitine, pentoxifylline (rx), Cialis (rx).  IF you go,
the oral route there are ways to get them online for a lot less, there are posts on other parts of the forum on how to do that.

IF he sees a Peyronies doctor and doesn't have a calcified plaque, there is XIalfex now.  it is very expensive, but insurances do cover it (some of them).  Surgery is a last choice option, but that's only when you are at a dead end with this.  Good luck ...
55 - Onset May 2017.  38 degree bend up.  Failed Xiaflex treatment.  Still functional so I decided to stop treatments.  Only take 400mg Co-Q10 and occasionally use Restorex

Thanks for the welcome.

I don't have any measurements on the degree of his bend.  Its an inch or so below the glans.  Also he may have a second one near the base.  We can still achieve penetration but of course everything is more difficult and some positions impossible.  He doesn't have erection issues at this point.  Hubby hates is as I'm sure you can relate.  So we are starting to try some things as stated in my original post.  I'm not sure if we'll go see another doc yet or just try some things for a bit and see what we can achieve on our own.

The enzymes we are trying are Bio-fibrin by Inspired Nutrition.

Thanks again.
