How do you all cope with shrinkage and girth loss?

Ive learned to just accept what has happened to me but damn some times like right now I think about it and  it bothers the hell out of me... Like we really dont appreciate some things till its gone. And whats worse is im still so young and my sex life is done. I just want my old penis back.. No doctors no treatments nothing just my regular working penis I was born with. Who knew stuff like this could actually happen to your penis. How do you guys explain to women?? Do they even care.. Sorry im just venting... Its life I guess sh*t happen right ?

I don't cope at all. I can't accept or proces this happened to me and I can't accept myself for the man I am. I got no identity and all I'm indoors 24/7 having no job nor any motivation to do anyhng that involves people. I feel ok about myself, just not about me in contrast to other humans. I have no physical value for any female and I avoid contact with them at all cost. So far I'm feeling ok and sometimes even happy about this. I'm ashamed of being this kind of man, but then again.. I'm ashamed of myself anyway and now I no longer really give as crap as long as I can stay at home and do whatever I want. Wont get me rich... but I 'd rather commit suicide than face reality.

What helps me is taking as much control as possible mh developing and implementing a treatment strategy.  I believe pentox, daily low dose cialis or viagra, supplements, and traction or VED. I also started xiaflex.  I didn't do that until I found a doc who does that procedure every week (it took me almost three months to get insurance approval).  Finally, several months later I'm beginning to see some decrease in the curve.  Reading this forum is especially helpful as well.

Poopoo we cant let this destroy us even though it hurts us..  Dont let this make you be ashamed or change the person you are. Go out and see the world and enjoy it.. we still have to try to find happiness in this life somehow. Theres always some hope.. Just like we all didnt think we would end up like this who knows what might happen tomorrow. Stay postive.. Our mindest will determine how this journey will end up for us. Trust me I know how hard it is to accept what has happened... But dont give up on this life.

In school and in movie entertainment, we're led to believe that anything goes. We start heading down that path ourselves and boom  

There is no book that young men have ever been handed which warns: Your dick is fragile. Handle with care.

Or, a road sign for men which says: Dude! Keep that up and there's a curve ahead.

Even if these existed, I'm not sure most men have the self control to actually limit their behavior to boundaries. Add a poor national diet, stress, inflammation, DNA, a few random injuries to one's junk, a false sense of what manhood means, suppressed immune systems, and pornography -- and there's a perfect storm for a lot of bent dicks.

With my bent dick, I was up front with the woman that would become my wife. I just told her straight up: "There's a personal thing I want you to know. I don't know what you're hoping for in the male dick department, but there's this thing, it's called a CURVE and I have one. I'm about 7" long, and the curve is to the right about 50 degrees. I am certain we can have sex(!!!) but we'd need to be careful. So, now is your chance to dump me. I don't want you to be saddled with a curved dick if that's a thing that will bother you."

That's a male perspective. Most women aren't obsessing about our dicks like we are. We're completely wrapped up in our dick. Women...not so much. Turns out there's more to life.

- Does this mean that all women are shallow and emotionally stunted? No. But a man who believes that all women are is, himself, emotionally stunted and shallow.

- Do some men suffer from an uber fragile ego? Yes, as evidenced by their readiness to throw themselves off the nearest cliff over a bent dick.

- Is it possible to have a meaningful long-term relationship with a woman, in spite of a bent dick? Yes, it happens all the time. Personally, I just celebrated 30 years of marriage, and in spite of my curved dick we've had lots of crazy, spontaneous, fun, hilarious, mind blowing sex (some of which created four amazing kids).

This is relatively new for me, as my symptoms started about a year ago, with the Bend appearing 9 months ago, fortunately, I can still have sex, but now I have to have my wife guide it in where a year ago it was just jump on top and stick it right in.  EVerybody situation is different, so what I say works for me, and maybe not for you. But a few things struck me:

"I want my old dick back". I fully get that, I wish and wonder why this happened too, but reality is it is happening, so what am I going to do about that? You can let this control you, or you can control it.  I chose to control it by getting as proactive as I could be.  I never heard of this before last year, but I did a lot of research, and found a doctor who can help.  I can tell you from a mental standpoint, just starting treatment with Xiaflex has helped me out a ton, because I am doing something now, and not just existing.  That is your path, finding somebody who can work with you.

SOmething from a video from Dr. WOlf at the Maze center in NY struck me.  he says that no matter what your condition is now, if you are motivated they can get you sexually functional.  I didn't choose him as a dr, but that stuck with me.

AS for a woman, LWillis is spot on.  Deal head on with it.  Yes there will be woman who want nothing to do with it.  DOesnt make them bad people, If a girl had her vagina on her belly, a lot of guys would probably just not want to deal, doesn't make them bad either, just not for them,
BUt there are woman that will like you for you, and prefect sex doesn't define the whole relationship for them.  You just need to look, but you have to be happy with yourself.

I hope I am not being to preachy, does the situation suck, yes, but you don't have to let it ruin your life.

Josh, it seems my curve has decreased from approx 60 to approx 45 degrees, see my xiaflex progress post.  Haven't measured, but perhaps a slight improvement in girth.  I need to get back to VED and traction to help more w girth. Tony
