I have been living a nightmare for the past year and really dont know what happened to my penis. It started with some minor erectile dysfunction. Then I started to notice my penis had an hourglass shape and some thinning on the sides. Then all hell broke loose when I would wake up with a freezing cold penis and more waisting. Now if I have any sexual stimulation I lose more girth my penis simply is unable to handle anything. I also have some nerve pain at times as well. I dont have any bends or curves. My penis has thinned out so much its so scary that this is real. And i have lost at least 2 inches of length. I avoid all sexual activities becasue if I do any I am for sure to lose more girth and experience nerve pain. I am going to have some imaging done soon.. Can someone please tell me what this could be??

Any other bodily symptoms with this? Injury? Medication you're taking? Recent infections? Never heard of waking up with a cold penis. Sorry this is happening mate.

Just wait for the imaging. I guess it's a MRI with contrast? That way blood flow is displayed. Get a blood panel for inflammation and hormones.

It's a bit problematic, because erections maintain healthy tissue, but make things worse in your case. Only recommendation I can give is take anti inflammatory medication. ALCAR, Pentox and vitamin K. Cialis may make things worse in your case. Do you have any prostate / pelvic floor problems or are diabetic? Hair loss medication? UTIs?

Hey Tychy

Its a mri no contrast but it is a 3t mri. Should I have the mri with an erection? I just hope they find whats going on. I am very worried that for some reason they might say everything is normal. Does tissue loss show on an mri? And no to the questions you asked. Is this symptoms of peyronies? Who knows if this could be an iniury from sex.. But im telling you the change in my penis is so scary. Never once in my life did I think your penis can actually shrink and lose your girth.

And the crazy thing about this is that im only in my early 20s lol... I Use to love going out with girls and having sex. Now I hope no girl ever sees my penis. crap sucks but im used to it and have accepted it.. Hoping doctors can finally help me though. And hope all of you guys find answers as well.

Peyronies is scar tissue in the tunica ("balloon skin "). There is also corporal fibrosis which is scarring inside the corpus Cavernosum ("inside of balloon"). The latter can appear after the former, but usually is from infection (you'd have bad pain) or from a prolonged periods of no erections.
If you can feel any hard stringlike bands or small nodules, like BB balls, then it's most likely Peyronies.

You need to have a forced erection (by injecting into the penis) and get a color doppler ultrasound for penile artery velocity and scar tissue. MRI is able to tell tissue density apart, eg scarring. MRI with contrast is good for visualization of arteries and venes.

Peyronies usually comes from repeated or excessive trauma. For me it was one cowgirl position crash. For others it was repeated hard sex or stupid penis exercises. Then there's drugs that limit testosterone and other hormones, stopping nighttime erections. And last of all, genetic predisposition (anyone with Dupuyten in your family?)

So you'll have to think about what may have caused it. If you have zero recall of anything traumatic, I guess it's either congenital (meaning birth defect), hormones (including extensive belly fat), diabetes, chronic pelvic tension cutting off blood flow or a severe depressive episode.

My urologist told me he has several young patients that don't respond to PDE agents and are candidates for an implant. So it's not that uncommon. This is always the last option. But don't forget it's there.

Last of all, get a competent urologist with xxx patients with peyronies. This isn't something your suburb doc can do, but the MRI is a good sign.

I would suggest abstinence, heat and traction therapy, as well as CoQ10, L-Arginine, Acetyl L-Carnitine, Cialis and Pentox if you can get your hands on them. A VED device will help as well. Read up on everything for safety first.
